More CTDs in Devfile. WTF, over?

OK, the past 2 days have been pretty bad re CTDs (for me). Yesterday, in Devfile server, I CTDed about 5 minutes into a game. Came back, lasted about 2 (!) minutes. Came back again and lasted about 10 minutes this time. Gave up after that (there wasn't much going on in other servers at the time).

Anyone have any clues as to WTF is going on? Is it just me? I don't think is vBF2, since CTDs were very rare for me. Keep in mind I'm no expert re PCs.

I've been playing on DevFile w/o issue all week. I think we can probably dismiss the server and start looking at your machine as the culprit.

I'm cool with that (it's what I suspected all along).
So, WTF could be causing it? To say that it's frustrating is an understament.

Are you sure it's the server and not the map that make you CTD ?

Your best bet is to search the Support forum. I know it's the not the direct solution you're looking for but this has been covered quite a bit. My memory doesn't serve me well enough to give you a solution off-hand, so I apologize.

Cause DF didn't restart the server.

I didnt mean to say it was the server. I don't think it is because everyone else is doing ok in it. It's the Devfile 24/7 al-basrah server.

I think is something in my machine, but I've run my virus scan and found nothing. Yesterday I ran an adware/spyware scan, but left it overnight and haven't checked the results yet. My ping lately has been in the 20s/30s, so that's not a problem.

It's probably an over heating problem if the game crash without any error windows, try to put a fan next to your computer

The only time the game CTD's with an error window is when you run in window mode.
