Whats your best squad leader Moment\Operation that worked?

Lets hear some good battlefield stories with some cool SL tactics...maybe we'll be able to educate a few leaders out there.

not that much but, on basrah whenever our squad was pinned we'd call the cobra over and in a matter of seconds it would be hovering above us spraying the road with gunfire. when the cobra went down near the suburbs we brought an APC over and brought both pilots back to the airport, right as the cobra respawned.

One of my coolest PR moments as far as squads go was on the Hills of Hamyong. I was in a squad on the british and moving up the flank the wood hills towards Forest CP. We didn't see anyone as the fighting was hard on the otherside of the map. So we advanced over the ridge towards Forest. RIGHT as we hit the woods...an entire squad popped out of the bushes all around us and WAXED all of us in a matter of seconds. It was sheer panic for everyone in my squad, we all just spun around in circles trying to kill at least one guy. Usually squads open up on you before you get that close to them, but I'm sure this SL had a plan...they just waited and ambushed the SHEET out of us, very impressive!

Tho not normally a squad leader, when things go wrong I like to let AnimalMother go in first. It's like watching the Terminator in action. Some truly awe-inspiring shit.

Here's an example...
4 USMC surround our spawn car at Village. They're wasting everyoe who spawns. I say over VOIP as I watch this (I'm dead)..."Don't use the spawn car, it's surrounded".

AnimalMother spawns, jumps out, and single-handedly wasts all 4 of them. There were dead bodies everywhere. We won village shortly thereafter.

i was a gunner in a 5 person chopper squad, we had both choppers and 1 spotter on the ground calling out targets and getting coordinates from the commander. i went like 100K and 1D :D

Telling my squad to get in my Humvee. That worked great... Now for any of you who drive with me, you know that I drive with no fear... I drove the Humvee right up that hill at the airport on Basrah and flipped it. :)

The moral of the story is: You can get your men inside the Humvee, but its your job to get them there alive. :-P

Albasrah xtract, everyone in a bomb car as sentinel looking at the bridges to see the SUV.
Once someone spotted it, all rushed toward the convoy running into it from all sides...
Ah fireworks :)

Greasy mullet, in a ditch.

Told everyone to lay down and hold their fire as 3 tanks rolled over top and a bunch of enemy troops ran past... Then we turned around and killed all 3 tanks and troops that were supporting :D .

Today on TG I was SL for 5 rounds in a row and we won 5 rounds in a row. I guess that was good.

Lol I was with a group and we raided a house with like 5 guys on one level of the building and then had a crouching party, the entire squad. Quite fun.

Having my squad get strafed a lot on al basrah one night and organizing an AA squad. Killed like 8 A-10s, 5 Blackhawks, and like 6 Cobras and 2 tanks and an APC. With nothing but 5 RPGs and a policeman. including a time where we got strafed, i got pissed, shot a random rocket into the air and the A-10 flew into it and died. I swear to god I didn't even know it was coming lol.

That or a Rambo moment I had on Hills of Hamyong where I lead a charge of my squad up the middle toward the Central outpost and killed like 5 guys with a pistol and my squad managed to take the flag.

I've had a lot of good moments but those are the best that I remember.

In a t62, calling out truce with a 10 and cobras for Tank Duel

My squad was in desert spotting tanks and apcs out.
I brought my tank in right to their directions.

ANd by the first half hour I took out 5 abrams, and 2 Apcs with the t62 :)

I was SL during C4 in the PR tournament during .4, and our team(US) had just taken all the flags on Al Fallujah except the last one, which we hoped would start the bleed. It did not, so after 2 1/2 hours of playing we were getting down to the final amount of tickets and it looked like we would lose the match as US. Well, I had another good idea which was to secretly sneak through the lines to get to the Mosque at the final flag on Al Fallujah. (first was to keep our US guys back from charging the gate at the Outpost, which I relayed to my commander and HCO. It worked because they attacked us and we ambushed them, making up for lost kills. That lasted for about an hour alone)

I didn't have time to explain this to my team or commander, so I just relayed to the commander and told the other SLs over TS to say back and do not attack. Then, I had my squad hold their spawning in, so that I could sneak through at this one spot I found. The first time I went, I was halfway up and got killed. The second time, I sneaked through and it worked. I got on top of a rooftop overlooking the Mosque area/last flag, and then had my squad go to the flag while I covered them. Well, my squad took up positions in the buildings around the Mosque, and killed a barrage of men attacking them.

But, unfortunately, a guy found my position and got up on an adjacent building and shot me out of no where, so my last 1-2 guys were left on the flag. I had done my part though because I had helped with the capping, but the rest was up to my final guys on the flag and they barely got the flag to go neutral, but died right after in a blaze of glory.

And since this was a breakthrough map, the enemy could not take the neutral flag back, so I yelled at my team to charge through and kill the rest and they did, winning us the match.

The game lasted just around 3 hours.

The best part was though, was that we only had 15 tickets left to go before we would of lost.

I played on Ghost Train on TG server last night. Had a pretty good squad working well, everyone was playing good and conservative. At one point, we the chinese, had to take our bridge as the other squads were already taking their bridge....so we fell back into the east hills trying to pick off the brits around our bunker but they were dug in deep in the surrounding jungle so we couldn't get down the hill. So we quickly regrouped on the hill, had the rifleman drop like 2-3 ammo piles and just grenade the **** out of the whole jungle...awesome. Then we smoked it...and moved up like 40 feet and did the same thing. We just kept advancing and nading, smoking, clearing the jungle until we could get some clean shots on the bridge bunker. Finally we rushed and took the bunker after only losing like 1-2 guys. Very cool, great teamwork...if someone had rushed ahead it would have been all Tk's but it worked. Always feels epic when stuff like this works.
