Video Tutorial on the SA-7
What it says above.
I don't think the two PR tutorial mods cover this and it would be great if someone made a tutorial on how to use these weapons.
Thanks

Okay. Well I can give you a text tutorial. Its very simple.
First find a good location with lots of elevation. You don't want hills, mountains, trees, buildings or other structures obstructing your view.
When choosing a location, try to pick a spot that has a lot of air traffic, so in a map such as Al Basrah, I like going near the North bridge.
You need a constant supply of ammo. Hummers, Vodniks, Supply crates, a squadmate with ammo bags, the technical, etc.
It takes two shots to take out all aircraft, so I recommend pairing up with another guy with an AA kit, and a 3rd guy with ammo bags.
So try to coordinate with the other AA guy on VOIP in your squad to shoot at the sametime to kill the aircraft before it flies away to repair.
Zoom in, look around, find your target. Once you found it, aim at it but don't fire yet. Wait until the 2nd tone goes. WAIT until your target deploys flares. Make sure you still have a lock on, and then FIRE, preferably with a teammate so its an instant kill. Shoot the aircraft when its flying away from you, not towards you, as it may miss.
Its really quite simple. You have two rounds. Make sure you're going to get a hit before you fire. If you fire and miss, you give away your position and you waste a round and time.
If you follow these instructions, shooting down aircraft with the AA kit, such as the SA-7, will be a breeze.
Good hunting!

Could have swarn the AA for the insurgents had 3 shots? Never personally used it but I saw a guy fire three times without any ammo near by...

probably got the FIM-92a kit from a stupid US player that thought it was funny to shoot infantry with.. I got one from a guy who tried to 'sting' me and then fired it on an A-10 at the last second as it was going to be out of my view and watched it turn 90 degrees around the corner of the building after the A-10 and kill it. US soldiers on Al Basrah should not be allowed to request the anti-air kit, they will only lose it.Expendable Grunt wrote:Could have swarn the AA for the insurgents had 3 shots?
