Various Reticles/Optics/Sights etc.

Post by Guerra norte »

Well, do you have any pictures of various reticles/optics/sights etc. that should be replaced with current weapons or added to future ones?

Post them here to make the devs researching days easier!

Remember to post only pictures taken from either real life,mil-sims or mil manuals.

I'll start off.

They will be adding the Javelin in a later release (if not this one). There is one video of it somewhere on youtube of it being fired in testing.

Thanks Gents.

Some are easier to change than others... some of them are part of the 3D model and requires remodelling the weapon, while others are textures and are much easier to change.

Eventually I'd like to see them all be accurate, so any references you come across would be much appreciated.

I assume the Brits are equipped with the MILAN.. if so..

Optical sight: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image ... .MILAN.jpg
Thermal sight: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image ... t.mira.jpg

Cause it's god awful to aim atm.

Couldn't find any screens of the sights on the NLAW.

wow that svd one explained a lot, i get it now.

only issue is, a lot of these seem to rely on the fact that they are zeroed in on a particular range. the devs would need to disclose this ange because otherwise its a real pain trying to work it out by trial and error in game.

Thing is that in real life a lot of these scopes have very very fine lines, and by the time they get into PR they seem to end up being very thick. So if they have to be thicker in PR, then that means that having such complex scopes (as some of these are) becomes a problem because then there's too much **** in your face to see past (because of the thickness).
