They have already said 100 times that they are focusing on UK for now so dont get your hopes up. Tho i think this thread serves to let the DEVs know what to do after the UK forces are done.

I couldn't find anything to say that the military uses that SMG... just that it's a cheap export weapon.

For all those who are curious, the JS smg is strictly for PAP/police use only, the actual armed forces use the Type 05. This SMG has actually been around for a quite a while already, it is only recently that it has been publicized.

The differences between the two weapons are:

JS:
9mm Parabelleum.
No iron sight handle
Attachment rails
30 round magazines

Type 05:
5.8mm pistol round
Handle Iron Sight
No standard attachment rails
50 round quad chamber magazine

During testings, the 5.8 pistol round proved to have more armor penetration and stopping power.

BTW, China is modernizing their army/technology very rapidly; don't be surprised to see a couple more new vehicles and small arms within 07/08, it would be quite hard to keep up with all the new toys.

Type 62 tank would be really easy to incorperate for the PLA, already pretty much its twin for the insurgents, change a few things on the model perhaps, give it a new skin and its ready too go.

That howitzers a right Paladin rip-off. Can't wait until we have arty tanks in game though, must be in the pipeline with all the 4x4km maps been made.

What counts as foreign vehicles? The French? The Chinese? The British? The Americans perhaps?

As for 0.7, well if you don't like the Brits, you're gonna hate 0.7

I don't quite think so, JSF anyone?
Your new Transport chopper is the super puma, we used that ages ago and is being phased out for the Merlin(i think)

When china starts producing its own unique vehicles not down right rip off copy's from Russia and other country's maybe ill believe you.

Well in all fairness to them, if they're upgrading old models to newer and better models, that *IS* modernising.

I like the PLA so I'm not gonna put them down. Communist supermen are our superiors.

Not quite. "We" operated the Puma, not the Super Puma.

Considering they're making their own small arms (QBZ-95 series and QBZ-03 being the most modern, Type-81 and Type-68 before that), next generation fighters (J-10, J-XX), battle tanks (Type-99 and Type-96), IFVs/APCs, Missiles and whatnot, Chinese military industry is expanding and advancing very quickly. heck, even the planes they do copy from Russia (Su-27s) are now being modified to use the latest Chinese avionics and weapons to reduce dependency on the Russians.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Seen as how the QBZ isnt in Full service i wouldn't take that as a reason, certain reminents of the PLA use the Type-56, Super Puma in all fairness is still not the most modern Transport Heli out their.

Id take Russia over PLA anyday :P

The Type-56 is completely phased out (apart from the Type-56 Carbine SKS copy which is still used for ceremonial duties). Most Front line units are now issued either the QBZ-95 or QBZ-03 and the rest of the PLA is armed with the Type-81 rifle.

The QBZ-03 just looks old, as does the Type-81 it lacks the modern look that the QBZ-95 has achieved.

The J-10 is miles behind the F-35 in all ways.

All these fancy T-96 and T-99 whatnots sound good on paper but lack battle testing and are not even in full production unlike the battle hardened Challenger 2 (how many of these has been lost in Iraq? thats right not even double figures) M1A2 Abrams and the Leo which have proven to be very effective.

China's main advantage used to be their enormous amount of men and equipment, with their main drawback being how outdated it was. Now, if they start equipping those men with stuff that's nearly as good as what the US and other Western countries have, that's not good, right? Well, not for us atleast.

Their are plenty of reasons why the Nazis lost to the Communists in WW2 so don't even go their.
I never knew this was a flame war?
