Teamswapping and squad disbanding.

Post by Guerra »

So, I've noticed that whenever the teams are swapped, you lose your squad. Now, is there some work around here? Would it be possible for the devs to script a few lines of code and solve this minor, but annoying problem?

Yes, I know I can simply "remake" the squad and invite in the old players, but it would be a lot more helpful to keep the old squad, especially since some people have longer load times than others.

It isn't top priority, but it would be really, really nice. It would smoothen out team play amongst good squads. So we can use that extra few seconds to plan something coherent instead of scrambling to get everyone in the squad.

(PS, I'm surprised I couldn't find anything on this topic before, as I'm sure it annoys a lot of players.)

But if its a really good squad, then it won't give a chance for other people to get into that squad.

As people drop out of the squad, new players can join.

Simple as that.

Just manage the squad via the squad screen. Most people don't take it personally when a squad in round 1 regroup for round 2.
If players are kicked from my squad to make way for someone I know for certain is a squad player there's always a "no hard feelings" message typed in so they know it's not because their feet stink.

There are, or were, some servers that preserve your squad from round to round but I can't remember the name.
I would like to see all the servers do that as I agree totally with Guerra.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

It'd be one less hassle, I'll grant you that :)

All servers, when you're on the same faction, the squads remain the same.

The problem is when theres a team swap. All squads are disbanded and don't carry on.

Yes, it is rather annoying when the squad you have been playing in for the last 5 rounds fills up before you have a chance to rejoin.

Ask them you kick the fvcker who took your place.

And if he doesn't have the balls to do it, then he shouldn't be squadleader. :)
