Binoculars

Post by TAW_Nautica »

Hey guys this is my first post. I have read through most of these posts and i havent seen anyone talking about Binoculars. I havent played BF42: DC for a while and i can remember Binoculars. Binoculars could be for good use in bf2. Squad leaders and commanders should be the only ones to have this. I would think in this mod Binoculars would be a good factor for realism. On maps such as Zatar wetlands, instead of just bum rushing the bases, commanders and squad leaders could check for enemy movement and spot tanks and other things. Also, it would be cool that the Binoculars could tell distance possible other cool things that they are used for in todays war to bring the game to life. tell me what you guys think.

it's a good idea, and people have talked about this before. the general conclusion was that they would be useful for certain classes or positions, which i agree with.

Bino's should be used for calling in supplies and arty...not just pionty somewhere and saying " hey hey give me arty hey hey..."

Binos would be anexcellent addition to PR. I believe the team intend to do away with or at least modify the way supplies and artillery is implemented. However it would also be useful if they decide to reduce the view distance on tags, at least using binos you can spot an enemy force before they are close enough to shoot you. Give them to the Spec Ops and Sniper class kits and perhaps the Rifleman kit, this forces players who prefer to use the support medic and gunnuer to stick with the squad leader as they will be at a disadvantage against any unit utilizing bions otherwise. AT kits get a decent view using the sight on the TOW, so they really have no need of binos anyway, but they still need combat support against infantry tergets as the gun they have is close rang personal defence.
