Don't destroy Empty non-spawnable enemy vehicles. So many times I've sniped Crews ect. (LB for the most part) and than some idiot runs up and blasts it with a RPG. If the vehicle is left untouched, it will leave the enemy without it for even longer.

why would anyone want their enemy to gain mobility thru vehicles?

hmm, why waste the RPG at some empty vehicle??

There is no fun to wait 15 minutes at Muttrah City for the next LB that brings new enemies.

Haha, and why are the opinions in those two posts total opposites? ;)

I tend to agree with this, so unless its a spawn car, let the enemy come and get their vehicle if they want it, dont destroy it and give it back to them

Yeah, unless this vehicle is a cobra or an A-10 (and neither of these are going to survive the crash), blow it up to keep things interesting. And don't destroy a spawn vehicle until someone spawns in it. ;)

The reason I do it sometimes is: When I leave and jeep sitting around it sometimes comes back to haunt me when some guy runs out and gets in the MG and kills everyone!

theres nothing worse then some retard blowing up a hmvve on albasrah sitting right near a flag. Its pretty much free ammo, and any US who jumps in it will get smoked

Whenever I am in an armor squad we almost always blow up every car we see. By destroying the spawn cars they are forced to spawn further away from your current position. And I never leave one of the rigged jihad cars, you always blow them up so that they can't sneak up on you :) and most of the time we hit the technicals and bikes too, because I personally have taken out tons of armor with the technical when there is no rigged car and when we are getting slaughtered. You have to eliminate every advantage the enemy has, especially the insurgents because they can be very sneaky if you give them a means of transportation and an exploding car.

Now if there is an abandoned peice of US eqipment then that you definately leave. One so that it won't e-spawn for them, and two so that you can rig it with explosives :p

Agree. I love when the OpFor leaves their cars in the flag, giving out free RPGs, Claymores, IEDs, Mines, you name it!

First of all, Why would you be covering a empty vehicle?

Second, Why would you be covering a empty vehicle, when you should cover your TEAM MATES instead?

Thirdly, People destory the enemy vehicles, incase the enemy gets there and uses it against you!

That post reaks of stat whore!

Fourthly, if I remember the loading screen correctly, as USMC you have been ordered to destroy any opp. vehicle.

This is a reality mod, so I guess it is stick to your orders or stick to vBF2. ;-)

he didn't say he is camping an empty vehichle...
He said he would snipe the pilot/driver out of the vehicle leaving the enemy vehicle stranded. He isn't saying sit and wait for someone to rescue the vehichle so you can kill them, he is saying if its far enough back leave it and move on. The destroyed vehichle respawns, the abandoned vehichle sits in a field leaving the enemy without transport...

LMAO.

I thought waiting for the enemy to get into the vehicle is camping.

The enemy vehicles have a limited supply of ammo that is still available when the vehicle is destroyed.
Tanks/APC/helicopters should be left alone to deny the enemy a respawn but everything else must DIE.
If you want the points but don't want to wait, use an AT mine but leaving enemy vehicles around is just inviting trouble.

I tend to agree with the stragegy of leaving vehicles if your insurgent, free ammo and keeps the some vehicles out of play. As stated if I'm US though I will try and destroy every insurgent vehicle I see if I can. If it's a spawn car I don't care if no one is spawning on it I will destroy it ASAP. To many times I would camp the spawn car a bit and be taken out.

Cheers,

If you're trapped with no explosives, is it ethical to kill someone as soon as they spawn on the spawn car. (Trapped as in, capping the facility, when there's a spawn car in the middle of it)

They could just spawn on another spawn point, so I don't see the problem.
