They could just spawn on another spawn point, so I don't see the problem.
without the proper exposives, camping the spawn car until squadmates with explosives can get into position is a necessity. same thing with rally points. it has taken my squad as many as 2-3 minutes to destroy a spotted rally point. my troops covering the rally point had to wipe out 3-4 spawns of people before we destroyed the RP. of course, i'd rather destroy the RP in the first 15 seconds after detection, but that aint always possible.

You guys DO realize that the RPs can be destroyed by shooting them, right?

yikes! that's a lot of spawn kills...hehe. if insurgents are dumb enough to spawn in over and over and over again in the same deathtrap, i guess it's on them. i, however, will not let a spawn car exist for that many spawns. too many chances to screw up and get yourself killed for my liking...

Well, I was trying to cap the Facility on my own, whilst everyone was at the airport. So I guess I deserved it. In the end I got shot by the passenger while shooting the driver!! 8-)

Yes, you can. I've shot down many spawn cars with only the assault rifle. Takes a little more than 1 magazine until they explode. But maybe they were already somewhat damaged.

Which I think is Ok, a civilian car should be rendered useless after a few well placed shots.

Although I really would like to see that cars could be immobilized with a few shots (like stated in another thread), like a tank with the tracks off.

Shooting cars with the rifle even works better than throwing a grenade or two. Which btw doesn't sound too realistic, a grenade under/inside the car should really work...

eehhrrm.... Two magazines detroy a rally point... that sounds lake a lame excuse for spawnraping. If you waited for explosives you could have waited for an rifleman two spawn back in and give you guys some ammo after you spent it on the RP.

And you can get ammunition from the enemy rally point.

Alot of people don't know that spawn cars can be taken out with the rifle. I played last night and the squad I was in just surronded the car and camped it until someone could get explosives. Of course I took the car out myself, Im not giving the insurgents any chance to spawn and rpg the ground etc :roll:

The problem with trying to take down spawn cars with just the rifle is that it seems that as soon as I need to reload two guys spawn in and Im done. :-( If Im with a good squad its not an issue as someone will have my back. :grin:

sometimes using small arms is the best way to take down a rally point. in fact, most times 2 squad members can easily take down an RP with one guy covering the spawns and the other guy throwing nades or using small arms. BUT...this isnt always the best thing to do. in some instances, especially after my squad has been ambushed and taken heavy causulties, you only have one squad member near the enemy RP. sometimes, that one squad member is a medic and has no explosives. in those instances, my medic will be ordered to cover the RP, eliminating any spawning enemies until reinforments can get into position. this is a reality mod, so there's no reason to take unnecessary risks if waiting 2 minutes can ensure success. taking out enemy RPs is very important, and the quicker you can do it the better, but getting reckless and getting yourself killed while failing to destroy the RP is unacceptable.

also, there's no such thing as spawn raping in this game. if you are getting spawn raped at your rally point, you are really dumb and your commanding officer is even dumber.

He never said he was waiting for an enemy to get in the vehicle. He was simply stating that he has sometimes shot a crew out of its car, thus leaving the vehicle there deserted. Instead, some teammate comes up and destroys it, allowing the vehicle to respawn soon at the enemy's base...

It has happened in PR. There was a screenshot of an A-10 that landed on a building. I also had a pilot in my squad get killed and the Cobra landed. Unfortunately, the position was untenable, as it between the South VCP and the facility on Al Basrah, east of that building at the north of the bridge on the high ground and my squad had been wiped out in area. An enemy special operative put a timed explosive on it, destroying it.
