I try play Al Basrah either as a BH pilot, A10 or cobra pilot. Some nites its a walkj in the park....a good commander = huge KD ratio + 0 spawn cars for insurgents.

Other nites people decide to form AA squads and just flying over the city is a nitemare. I 've at time had to request the CO send squads to destroy AAA and SA 7 launch locations. Means no air cover in the city sometimes for over 5-10 mins.

On similar note.....when the A10 accidentily TKs before u punish could you ask him is he blind firing or acting on commander orders.

If mot on commander orders then feel free to punish otherwise dont.

Last nite (think was on IGI) i was in the A10 and just destroying spawn cars for the CO. Had Tk'd by accident 2 times then got an "urgent priority call" form him to bomb and strafe an area....did and killed 8 enemy but 2 tk's who punished....meant i was kicked from the server for 4 tks. This also meant that as i was flying tha A10 we also lost this asset.

I wouldnt have bomebed the area unless told.

The best use of cobra is in my opinion slow strafing around the enemy area, while gunner uses double zoom for his gun. Slow circling, going left to right for some time, than changing direction (right to left) makes steady platform for gunner, and gives the enemy hard time hiding. Also, after a while I make a fast side movement, to surprise enemies hiding from my gunner, and to lose those guys trying to get closer with RPGs.

SA-7 is not THAT bad weapon - but it's far more effective to use RPGs, MGs and AA guns. Good player can make certain damage to air vehicles with SA-7, but it's realy a waste of a player who can (with RPG) can kill some air vehicles, but also APCs and ground troops.

Finaly, the main problem for cobra crew is to decide how close can they get to the enemy. So, for insurgent team my advice would be - use all ppl as ground troops (forget about cobras) kill all enemy on ground, secure Facility flag, let them feel like they can hower closer, and when they do - shoot them with RPGs. :)
