Ammo count

Post by Cpt Pain »

Hi, this is my first time at posting on this forum. I DLed the v0.5 a few days ago and I love the mod, its great (mostly because you can play as the brits :grin: ). However, the inability to see how many bullets are left in your mag is (if only slightly) peaving. My suggestion is as follows;

Introduce a system where the player can check the ammo left in the mag by removing it from the gun and knocking it against something (most likely the helmet). It could show how many bullets exactly, or weither it is roughly full/half/empty.

Your thoughts please...

the way i see it, is that you'd temporarily disable your weapon removing the magazine. so if your character doesnt automatically reload pretend like this shot is your last and make it count. or use a kit with a pistol so you have something to fall back on.

ohh and never underestimate your knife. ;-)

If you have time to go checking how much ammo you have left, then you have time to reload, simple as that. You always load a full mag anyway, since all the soldiers in BF2 are extremely careless and discard half-used mags on reload.

Nah, with the overheating, it is more like 8 25 round bursts.

Well if you played PR a lot, for me I kind of estimate how many rounds i use up. Sometimes when I use semi on a single target, it should waste about 1/4 - 1/2 of your magazine, however if youre cover firing/spraying on a target it be best to reload.
