So the pilot kit isn't universal?

I was playing Mao Valley, one of my least favorite maps, and was Chinese.

I had a pretty descent run, my GL managed to rape an entire US squad at its RP (I'm not a noob toober, I only tend to use it where my Type 59 will not do the trick easily enough), and ruin an MG nest the US had set up.

Well, I was back at the base, having gotten sniped (was for a while using a PLA Marksman kit I got off a US guy I killed), and was walking by the chopper. I saw someone by it and figured they could give me a lift to my squads holding point. The guy was prone and I was wondering if there was a sniper about...then I realized the guy was black...which counts him out of the PLA club...so I Type 59'd him in the head and took his pilot kit to use his bandage.

I havn't a clue what a US pilot was doing this far out, as I still heard their chopper overhead (I figured he had parachuted out of the second seat, trying to steal our chopper or something...not that it would work!).

So since nobody was around the chopper I figure I'm alright at it, and would get it up in the air for some harassment, so I got in, sat while it started to warm up, then died -- wasn't looking at the messages in the upper portion of the screen, where it told me I needed a pilot kit to use this vehicle.

So...why arn't pilot kits universal?

Probably just the way its coded. Just Pick up a PLA pilot kit next time.

Because the "use case" you illustrated is incredibly rare and we don't really want to be coding stuff like US pilot KITS can theoretically operate Chinese Helicopters because US PLAYERS can't operate Chinese helicopters.
