any body here play Forgotten Hope ? the panzerfaust was one shoot one kill , and wasnt overpawered , because their tanks has some defends agains that (more armor , sandbags ,etc)
a javaline would be on shoot one kill , like real life , but then t90s and type 99 need his countermeasures (shtora for the t90 and the lazer-blind thing on the type99) to defead it
also , the javaline need to replace the sraw ,Relegating the sraw to assault proporse (the kit would contain a sraw with only one zoom and only one missil with an AR)

SiCaRiO you really do not have a clue what you are talking about....
We are talking about a weapon here that can lock onto targets from out of there view distance, the only defence a tank has aginst it is to shoot the guy who is locking thme (if they can see them which if the AT guy has any sence will not allow to happen) or to go behind a building, dip or something to stop the lock which is kinda hard when you cant even tell what direction the guy is in, then the rock once its locked has a very high chance of hitting the tank after its being fired. Takes hardly any skill to use and is a very, very powerful weapon. If you have used it when it was in the test build you would know just how powerful and easy it is to use.

I agree with Rhino. Even the SRAW (or MEC, China equivalent) is a decent pain in the *** while tanking so imagine the Javelin with a 1 km range, 1 shot one kill and locks on to targets.
Also, so what if it only has one shot? Just get someone with the ammo bags to stay with you and keep you supplied, no ammo problems.

well , considering your doctrine of realistic values , realistic speeds , etc of course , it would be deadly . but if you scale it a litle (Bearing in mind that maps are 4 km max.) like slowing the missil (not like 0.3 but not like 0.5
) and a lock mark of max 500 m , tanks would have the same % of survive like real life .
-EXPANDING -
the shtora is capable of launch smoke that can "confuse" the javalin, this can be done by launching "flares" around the tank (those flares would stay in the air , the same time as the smoke) that can be lockable by the javaline , so with the smoke the guys cAnt see what he is locking .

"just like in real life"? Have you ever seen it being used against a modern MBT?77SiCaRiO77 wrote:any body here play Forgotten Hope ? the panzerfaust was one shoot one kill , and wasnt overpawered , because their tanks has some defends agains that (more armor , sandbags ,etc)

And comparing the Javelin to FH's Panzerfaust seems a little strange. Not only does the Panzerfaust have an incredible short range, it's even hard to hit anything within its effective range.

ye the idea of the javelin is that it is a very powerful weapon that can take down basicly any tank very easily, and is nothing something that is easily put into a game where you have evnly blanced teams.Semi wrote:"just like in real life"? Have you ever seen it being used against a modern MBT?
We may how ever be able to use it in asymmetrical scenarios where a mec infantry is facing a armor division for exsample then become usful in PR.
but when you put a Javelin next to w/e that MEC/China H-AT is called there is no conest and that would throw off every single convantal army maps blance...

Huh? The Panzerfaust was no way one shot one kill in FH... If you shot a T-34 or the IS-2 with the Panzerfaust on the front armor, the tank would still be up and running... Maybe if you shot their tracks, maybe the tank would be destroyed because I do not remember, but it is not a one shot one kill weapon in FH...77SiCaRiO77 wrote:any body here play Forgotten Hope ? the panzerfaust was one shoot one kill

Yes, it has been suggested; please do a search next time. A freelance developer made a very good Javelin model for open use by all mods, but when we imported it into PR test versions, it was very buggy. If and when we get it working right, we'll put it in.halvor2 wrote:How about adding a Javelin i think this has been suggested but and also made for this mod but where is it? it would BE AWSOME!
