Map section of PR guide... Updated...

Post by youm0nt »

I'm not sure if anybody noticed but I just looked at the PR guide just now at the map section and they updated some vehicle lists info on the maps... Check Al Basrah for a complete change of vehicles. Operation Phoenix looks bigger now and new vehicle/asset info on Gulf of Oman...

The 0.6 changelog is a little more interesting than the blank map pages. 7 grenades for riflemen...madness!

Does the crewman kit get a carbine rather than an assault rifle in this release? A carbine reflects reality better.

So it looks like GB gets to use Humvees after all. Does GB actually have any TOW armed jeeps IRL?

And I didn't know GB used Apachies...

7 nades for Rifleman? Jesus...that's not real is it? And where is the changelog??

Wow the changes for .6 look pretty cool. But one thing I a only a little disappointed is the removal of the Insurgent SF kit. I think that the war veteran should have maybe gotten an AK-101 w/ GP-30.

'The WAH-64 is a licence-built version of the Boeing AH-64D Apache "Longbow" attack helicopter, for the British Army' - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland_WAH-64_Apache

Data on M203:
# Launcher: 3 pounds (1.36 kilograms)
# Total weight (including 30 rounds): 11.79 pounds (5.35 kg)

Gosh.

And where does the guide state that GB is going to use Humvees?

* 2 x Apache Helicopters (Basrah Airport)
* 4 x Warrior IFV (Basrah Airport)
* 6 x Land Rover (4 Basrah Airport, 2 NVCP)
* 1 x Support Landrover (Basrah Airport)

Enough OT now.

The map list does look intresting, can't wait to see how Basrah is going to turn out. But the vast area north of the city in Operation Phoenix, anyone knows something about that? It's actually bigger than the city itself! Would be very neat to have a fight of a huge city or maybe first the city and then a larger, less populated area.

LoL at Insurgent kits....lets see, how it will turn out...

Basrah gets USMC replaced with GB...finally we'll have a good automatic CQC weapon instead of the M16...but no armor? Or are the C2's being added in 0.7?

If that list is accurate with Basrah, I love the fact there's no transport choppers.

As it is at the moment the blackhawks are needlessly used all the time!

2 attack choppers and the rest in land rovers/apc's sounds good. Hopefully a challenger 2 in time. :D

Nah, we need at least 1 Merlin or Lynx equipped with cabin-mounted GPMGs.
