On the note of the EULA, would it not simply be possible to ask EA/DICE for permission or something? After all, didn't they allow us to port content from the Special Forces expansion into PR? Can't see why they would object to allowing 128 players, especially since it was one of their original intentions.

Because EA and Dice are ... o wait i better not offend them if we are going to need their help.
Maybe if we have any smart buisiness people, we could put together somthing showing them how they could make more money off of this and they would be more willing to. That's what they are all about, so why not meet them there.

Actually if you go into your BF2 folder. You'll find alot of things for 128 player map sizes. Redone spawn points and more vehicles already added in.tele-loe- wrote:I wonder why they didn't make 128 player map sizes if they had all the files to do it.
Just like the techincal and the civilian car were partly built in vanilla BF2. Mostly done.

Don't worry we over at home will keep plugging at it and as soon as we find out how to do it I'll get the information over to you guys ASAP.
Battlefield 2 would be good with 128 and Project reality even better due to the fact an assault rifle is a rifle on this mod not an SMG.
If we do find the information we'll figure out a way and continue to email EA and Dice about the EULA.
POST EDIT:
From the looks of things I'll likely be hanging around the forums and throwing in my rather idiotic and stupid opinion. So sorry in advance for that!

I think that'd mean that all the maps would be navmeshed (look in the PRSP section)
But you may be able to do it. The only thing is you can't make them use a certain kit. You'd have to make 3 factions (insurgent/opposition, bot civillian, and USMC/GB) But the challenge is making three teams and making bots only on the civillian team. You might have to recode the coop mode to get it working.

Lol, sure, you spawn in Basrah, walk for a good 4 hours, and now you're in Helmand2ACR>Gunther wrote:We should just put all of the servers together, and then put all of the maps side by side on one gigantic map, then the whole PR community can play in one server!lol
This day will come soon, but probably not with EA games.

there are nine possible squads... x6 people each + one commander = 55 players a side. So if this is possible, I would recommend capping servers at 110 players.
The only thing I am concerned about is distributing bf2.exe, I don't really know how it will work (re punkbuster etc) and also the legal ramifications. I guess I'll see...
