Removing LAV 25 - Adding Stryker

i did a few Searches on this, but i couldnt find anything so... Excuse me

Theres some serious work that has to be done in some future releases, Like LAV should be removed & replaced by Stryker... Stryker is more designed or Infantry Combat. The Gun is much smaller, and fits the alleys in Iraq, unlike the LAV which has a huge gun and lack of armor... the stryker is more protected and has rpg protection.. the bars on the side's.. dont exactly know what they are called.. Seen a few pictures of them in IRAQ... even thought this vehicle is not Amphibious... theres another vehicle i saw that were sudjested... also has a smaller gun and is much faster on water then the lav.. + its on tracks

My question is.. why havnt lav been replaced by stryker already ?!?!

The US force in PR is USMC, and the Stryker is an Army vehicle.

Maybe someday we'll have a US Army team, but right now we're using Marines' hardware. Same reason everyone doesn't run around with M4s.

Well, all the other contries uses thier normal Armies why cant United States do that ?

Was it up to us that EA made the US in the game represent the USMC? The answer would be no, it wasn't up to us. We will be adding the different US forces into the game at some point.

This is quite understandable,i mean, i you have a perfectly woking army already implemented why sould you be making haste to replace/split it up if you have more important stuff on your list

i had love to model it, I have photoshopped alot, but i wouldnt ever be able to make something like this.. I also make Music and i edit movies.. but thats another story

That is not the same...MODEL, not PAINT

Repeat this 100x times....

Modeling is done with software, such as Gmax, 3ds Max, Milkshape, Maya...

i know that, I have 3d Studio Max 9.0 but, I cant manage to work it out.. thought of taking classes but i dunno if its worth it.. I have used photoshop for about 2 years.. kinda fun... But work is tearing me apart so dont have much time for learning... besides gaming is much more fun even thought it would be much greater fun to make other people pleased...

aswell as militia... PR is the best mod, i have ever played.... I truely Love it, cant stop playing it

though if you where to add a new vehicle to the USMC it should be the M-1117

though it would be a bit over kill

Nah, this thread is fine, but if you really want it locked just say so.

Really, modeling is only a pain to learn. It is time consuming, but it can be quite fun. I just bought the 3ds max bible to learn more from. If you want, I can hook you up with a bunch of tutorials, because if you have the software, why not use it.

I'm only a beginner, so a model as complicated as the Stryker would be a waste of my time. I will probably follow a car making tutorial or two before i attempt anything like that.

There are also lots of other modelers around here so getting some help might not be very hard.

I don't know how people have the patience to model AND skin. Guess the skinning isn't too bad, since you can render relatively quickly, but modelling just looks....argh.

it was intended for the MP but the marines got it because of what it can do

basicly

-IED defenses
-light arms fire and and RPG defenses
-armed with a MK-19 and M-2

be a bit overkill for the marines to have but I'd love to see it.

That model isn't very accurate now that I see the real images. They probably tried too hard to make it low poly.

Yes, that sure as hell is a nice vehicle, does loook alot like the Insurgents APC thought, theres probaly alot of difference lol.... I had love to see this vehicle take on Insurgents along with the Loving Humvee.... I wish there would be a more Armored type of vehicle of the Humvee's
