It's difficult.Schlumpfy wrote:Trust me, i've tried shooting cockpits when helicopters are hovering and it doesn't work.
Keep the following in mind:
- Shooting at a moving chopper is a waste of ammo and gives away your position.
- Hanging out near a base and killing enemy pilots upon takeoff is a waste of ammo and a waste of time, as someone else will jump in after. You will also piss off the pilot, causing you to become hunted and taking you away from more important tasks.
- The only reason you should be shooting pilots is when they are hovering flags.
I once shot a blackhawk pilot that was hovering a flag. The entire bird was filled up... it dropped.. blew up... me gets lots of kills :] I had alot of pissed off marines on my *** for the remainder of the round.

Oh and also... I found a sneaky little bug in BF2.
If an enemy chopper gets shot the point that it starts burning (about to blow), I put a round into it with my M95 and get the kills :]

Thats not a glitch its because the round fired is 12.7mm or 50.Cal which is a damn powerful bullet.Artnez.com wrote:Oh and also... I found a sneaky little bug in BF2.

Agreed. It's pretty stupid of them to assume that the average marine cannot shoot an immobile target 10 meters away. Much less a sniper.Enforcer1975 wrote:Shooting in BF2 is for **** anyway. I've read a thread about bullet deviation in BF2 and it really is true.
If i aim at one spot with the crosshairs it must hit. Especially when the target is immobile.

You can hit with some weapons, the one on the recieving end just has to catch the bullets
You don't need to dodge, they miss anyway. I've seen guys firing a whole mag at me scoring no hit because they don't know how to aim. The next they see is dust...
The best thing that happened to me was shooting the M95 on Wake. I was following a squadmember and shot a round into his direction ( i didn't aim ). The bullet missed him about 10m or more to the left. The distance was the the hill next to the airfield flag to the chinese artillery. The best thing you can do is spray and pray ( 8 of 10 players i encounter shoot fullauto anyway )
