I like it. Sounds like a good idea, but I think a similar suggestion has been made before.

I think you would need to stay still to reload. Now even moving

Am i correct in saying you want to have an increased reload time if sprinting?

I think it may be more prcatical from the DEVs point of view if it was disabled when sprinting, like when jumping.

Don't forget you can change from a sprint to a walk state and back again very quickly, and i'd imagine if you were messing around with different or tweaked reload animations for the different moving states it would get messy, but maybe not?

If I can reload my .308 bolt action whilst jogging, I'm pretty sure most troopers could at least reload whilst walking.

EDIT: That said, my dexterity and balance is abnormal... without sounding vain... shit that sounded vain didn't it?

LOL, you guys should see how much this has been discussed on the ArmA forums..

Anyway... I am a formerly Black Op SF Splinter Cell Sniper Hit Man, and I can reload any weapon in 0.02 sec. while eating a hamburger, strangling a man with my pinky, hacking a console with my index and running up side down on the ceiling.

Reloading while sprinting: Very likely somethings going wrong!
Reloading while jogging: Some people can do it
Reloading while walking/standing still: Completely true :)

Wish it wasn't so complicated whenever people suggest things
Personally I think moments like "I shot that guy around the corner with half my mag, got him and anothers coming, so im sprinting full speed while reloading then going to cover" shouldn't exist.

My suggestion, make sprinting = jumping in terms of reloading, my two cents

Reloading when jogging is possible, learned to reload my ak5 while jogging in the forrest. Sprinting.... well if you are running a 100m race you wouldnt be able to reload so.....

I have yet to have a problem reloading in any state, I hit the "R" key and I get a new mag. Please explain the issues your all having ;)

I think madtommy is right on, no reload while sprinting would probably be the cleanist solution.

Honk honk, search next time please. I made a big post about this around one week ago:
https://www.realitymod.com/forum/showth ... +sprinting

I didn't want to make a new thread for this, but I agree with fuzzhead - you should NOT be able to reload while sprinting.
I would even go so far and say that you should not be able to reload a LMG while running.
Maybe even limit reloading all assault rifles to standing still.
We are not talking about Chuck Norris in Delta Force, but about the normal grunt... I read that DEDMON5811 is able to reload while running (and I'm sure there are others who can), but I don't think that is common...
It also would take speed out of the game and make it less "run'n gun"

PS: Be aware that I have my fireproof suit on.

Bosco don't bring Chuck Norris into this, if he was in game it would be USMC vs. Chuck Norris and we would still loose every round Chuck Norris= death by round house kick to the head -> he never needs to reload

Good point about slowing down the run-n-gun. This may be a small change to help slow things down a bit without going to extreme.

It's only difficult to reload a rifle while sprinting if its a air rifle, those damn pellets always slip out your hand!

Magazines on the other hand are huge.

BTW: Only Ryu can do a flying roundhouse kick.

When sprinting with a M4 airsoft weapon, i promise you i could not relode for my life, becuase i was quite simply running for my life and you cant multitask too well when doing that.

Reloding while you are sprinting truely, is impossible, becuase you are not really sprinting. You might be jogging or running, but not sprinting.

0.02 seconds? That's poor. I'm so fast, i'm just a blur

It's a good idea, but it would be a lot easier to just disable reloading whilst sprinting. Of course, you should only be reloading under cover, so why are you sprinting and reloading at the same time? ;-)

Usually someone has to zap you back to life before you can reload.

Sorry Vikingo ... I just had to.
