Repairing vechs.

Post by TheUnkn0wnS0ldier »

Ok here is my idea,... Engineer's have the ability to repair (like the wrench in BF42). The "wrench" can only repair humvees or jeeps and such but that is about it; maybe have the wrench be able to repair gun placements and littles things. Inorder to repair something like an m1a2 tank there can be some kind of support vechicle that the tank could say drive up onto (ramp in the back up into the bed) or even just have a proximity repair (i dont like this cause they you have a rolling convoy with auto repair). Anyways make it so the engineer truck is used to repair the heavy armoy and helo pads for helos and hangars for jets. Or to fix the proximity problem of a rolling repair station make it so inorder for the repair function to become active you must "deploy" the engineer vechicle that can not move while deployed.

All in all i just dont like seeing joe schmoe repairing a tank with a wrench in the middle of a city.

Thank you for the input, we've already been looking in this matter and have come up with a few ideas :)

A* however how to implicate this into the game could be hard, but probably doable.
This could be a definite theme to explore...

I really like the Idea of limited repair capabilities.

It always pisses me off when I shoot a Bradley with a RPG, and the guy drives off and repairs himself fully before I can even reload my rocket.

Well, you have obviously been fighting n00b bradley drivers... why dont they kill you?

Also, limited repair capabilities are something we have been looking into, we are sure you will like what we come up with

No, this is really easy coded, all those ideas arent a problem to code, but the problem is that nobody knows editing the bf2, I hope it wouldnt be more complicated then the bf1942 :S
