Well, 100 Kb is great for downloading, but BF2 requires minimum 128 Kb...check the CD case, lol...

And I usually have 900 Kb or near 1 Mb connection...

When last I looked, you could only request a crewman kit if you had at least 2 soldiers in your squad, but you can try the tanks out in singleplayer.
