Haven't you read microsoft's mission statement for XBOX? Here's an excerpt:
As such, one of the primary objectives of Microsoft is to revolutionize the gaming industry as we know it. Microsoft XBOX game developers pride themselves in stupidifying and over simplifying the most complicated games on the market so that they may be readily available to the weak minded and mentally deficient.
We, at Microsoft, understand that the majority base of consumers in the United States don't want to waste their time in thought provoking experiences. On the contrary, they want to experience things on-impulse, while using the same amount of brain capacity that is needed to stroke a rubber penis.

I want fast roping as i know when i am playing in tourney (21CW) i have been flying towards the LZ gradually lowering and looking at all the tanks and troops approaching, and i'm risking landong amongst all this for one squad leader.
I want to be able to fast rope him in there and get out of the area as fast as possible, but depends if we get to use the PR mod for a tiny bit of 'experimental' work. I think i saw beckwith playing in the tourney earlier, a he killed me, twice

Actually, fast-roping is different from rappelling. With rappelling you have a harness with a descender that allows you to better control your fall. In fast-roping, the only thing keeping you on the rope is your gloved hands, your feet and the fear of falling to your death. It's basically sliding down a 90 to 120 foot fire-pole, only not as rigid, from a hovering helicopter. If it weren't so damn insane, it would almost sound like fun.
Well I do think and advantage would be if you disallowed the propellers of the helo to pass through objects that way it would be impossible to land in urban enviorments, So instead of landing in the street you could fast rope your troops in. Although I do believe fast-roping is only used when inserting troops into a specific location of a large city, otherwise they would usually insert them a few miles from the city or hostile zone (by landing) and have them go in on foot.

And you're in 1/2MEB, i remember you piercing my body armour with hot lead, TWICE!
im in 2meb, 12th in mybf2stats for score. but to the matter at hand:
if they make the blades solid you can't land in as many places so the ropes become neccesary. The co-pilot can hit fire to drop them and then secondary fire to release them from helo (fastrope mechanism I saw had a quick-release for pilot, passengers, and at the rop connection to the bird). if you really want smoke this is the 70's prototype for huey's:
but the dust should work well enough
