The way most of us see it is that we don't want to be playing 1 map for more than 1.5 hours as most of us don't have hours and hours to play non stop and we 'd like to get a couple of maps done in a session.

Fair enough, just seem to take some of the essences out the mod when you get cut off before time..:iGi:.U.G.H. wrote:The way most of us see it is that we don't want to be playing 1 map for more than 1.5 hours as most of us don't have hours and hours to play non stop and we 'd like to get a couple of maps done in a session.

As UGH says, some of us have lives outside of PR and getting a few games in before family, work & RL issues take precedence is a must
In all honesty, a map that goes on indefinately inevitably leads to message spamming along the lines of "I'm bored with this map" or "Jeez, can't we play Al Basrah?".
Anyway, the time limit just makes for really fast, hard play where mistakes are punished hard and the ones making the mistakes have to really get jiggy with it to claw back the advantage in the time remaining.

PROS settings, as far as i'm aware, has no relevance to Round time..:iGi:.NinjaJedi wrote:its run PROS. (or Project Reality Original Settings.)
Its how the developers designed the maps to be played. We will not be changing this as we believe the game should be played the right way.
Your reasoning is sound and understandable in regards to time limit.. but the two reasons i don’t play on iGi servers is the time limit, just hate the time stopping a fire fight, its horrible & you really need to be in iGi to play on iGi servers. Otherwise you get ignored by half your own team. I know you use TS, but you can still hear voip, and help other team mates, can’t you? This can be very frustrating. You are a tight clan, hats off to you, but no fun to play with on your own server. Funny thing is, away from own server you mostly make good PR squaddies.
See you out there.

so your saying if your on the same side as .:iGi:. players, that no1 listens to you? that we do our own thing?
couldnt disagree with you more.
.:iGi:. servers pride themselves on the teamwork that is needed to succeed, (which is what PR is all about?) ive never head of any1 saying "your not listening" or anything even remotly along the lines of what your saying.
Its not the fault of .:iGi:. players that we use tactics and comms effectivly to eliminate the opposition, and we ENCOURAGE our clan mates to take a squad of newbies to learn the ropes, and get a feeling of teamplay. Therby, (Hopefully anyway) increasing the community's understanding of how the game is meant to be played.
Im not having a go or anything at all mate, we just want every1 to be know what we're about... which is TEAMWORK.

Well it would have been a case of 1 or 2 of us on where we would use VOIP to communicate with the rest of the squad members but then if 4 .:iGi:. come on then they of course want to join that squad as well so anyone not really using VOIP will get kicked. I don't kick people who are using VOIP well though even if it is for an .:iGi:.bosco wrote:Yeah, a few days ago someone from .:iGi:. made a VOIP squad, and then kicked everyone out in favor to .:iGi:. clan members who are on TS anyway and don't use VOIP.
Was a bit strange experience.
Lots of people on VOIP never said anything though so will aways get kicked. Or if they are a sniper/marksman.
