Stationary HK 21 for MEC

Post by TayloR016 »

I did a good search and couldn't find anything on it so i thought i'd post it up.
I think this should be made into a stationary weapon for the MEC as at the moment i think the current one is the rpk which doesn't 'fit in' with the MEC weapons.

7.62x51 STATIONARY LAXOR BEEM?

It's been bugging me for a while that they're still using the RPK-74.. just another step to removing the russian equipment from the MEC, though.

This should come around the same time that GPMGs like the 240 start to replace the other stationary LMGs (they will be replacing them, right?).

MG-3 seems perfect for the role, IMO.

Stationary HK21's sound nice... Why not? They can come in handy for choke points on maps...

MG3 FTMFW.

But we wont get it.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

MG3 looks too world war twoish for me, besides wouldn't it be a lot less time consuming to make the hk 21 a sationary weapon being that the model is already there?

That might have to do with it being based off of the MG42. It's still in use by certain ME countries.

The MG3 is probably one of the best weapons on earth. Love the kraut engineering. I've shot one once and all i can say is DO NOT try to shoot it standing up, it will end badly, as in the barrel will leave a mark on your face. But, anyway, the MEC does need a different stationary i think, even if it's not the HK or the MG3.

Because it does not fit the bill for streamlined ammo. The 21 uses the 7.62x51 same as the G3 or MG3. But the MG36 uses a 5.56. Logistics nightmare and would not be used. Besides, why would you want your support weapons to be weaker than your assault rifles?

Not if your not Norwegian :p
That's a lower ROF than the one i shot. One i used was near 13-1400.

Most will turn it down so the barrel doesn't melt.
