Everyone watch this video of the Forgotten Hope mod for BF1942, on the paratroop assault map of Crete:

That's what needs to be in PR. The pilot of the plane, when he presses "fire" actually controls the door at the rear that you jump out of.

Wth. How did they fix all of the collision issues?

That's the thing...they weren't as prevalent in the BF1942 engine.

in BF1942 it was possible to do stuff like that. The "more advanced and moddable friendly" BF2 engine, its not :p

Arnt the new games on like the same engine with a graphics upgrade and some changes?

Nope. The Refractor 2 engine powered BF1942/BFV, whereas a new engine was sued for BF2.
