in 1st person the player only need to see the left side of the gun so you can get rid of the right side of te weapon in the final 1st person model ;)

Looks good. But maybe a little too smoothed? You didn't use turbosmooth did you? :-P If you did, delete that and use smooth. A lot of the time turbosmooth rounds off your edges, to correct that you need to chamfer all your edges a slight amount. Creating more polys for a more realistic shape. Use smooth.

Looks nice. Pull back the barrel grip or w/e you call it a bit to expose a bit more of the raw barrel.

Is the selector switch and bolt catch actually on the left side of that model, or is it a reverse image?

Yeah, I think you can just mirror it. That would be what I would do.

I think a good many of those are m16a2s.

You can tell because the a4 has those four handguards on the barrel

No all those pictures are M16A4's. A2's don’t have a flattop with the Picatinny rail. A2's have fixed carrying handle iron sights attached to the top receiver. Both the M16A3's and A4's have a flat top upper receiver, but A3's have fully automatic capabilities, while the A4's are more like A2's with the addition of a few modern features like the detachable carrying handle sights.

You can also tell from the carrying handle thumb nuts(in red) located on the left side, while on the right side you can tell from the two parallel groves on the bottom of the carrying handle:

Do you mean the handguard with the four Picatinny rails for mounting accessories? If so then, even the A2's can be configured with these handgaurds(rarely done). It all depends on the mission. For example; The USMC sometimes uses the ribbed full lenght handguard(seen on the A2) for training proposes, but in combat they use the KAC M5 RAS handguard.

None of them are A2s, I know the difference.

Made the front part of the barrel a bit longer and added a stock.

Looks a lot better, but can you please redo your smoothing? How are you doing it? Turbosmooth is a no no in most cases, and what you might want to do is use regular smooth, and use the autosmooth function within that. It wont make it look so... marshmellow looking. :-P I wont keep bugging you about that, but take it into consideration.

Holy poly-count. It is a little too rounded.
