in open areas , is better two man crew , BUT right now thee isnt any map with open areas for tank battles , thats why (if im alone in the tank) i get into the citys/forest/urban parts of the map , in close range , a one maned tank is better than a two maned tank.gazzthompson wrote:i dout a single tanker can do better than a 2 man tank crew , mabye sometimes , but majoritly i dout it.

Totally disagree with you. Its just ludicrous having a guy running around with heavy AT on a map like mao valley for example. No possible room for any kind of armor to operate so there is no possible use for heavy AT on that kind of enviroment. On map like inishali forest there maybe could be armor but there isnt so why have it available? Or having guys running around in urban areas rushing corners with the heavy AT kit. Im not totally against using heavy AT against infantry but its very cheap. That thing is heavy to carry around and takes a lot more time to set up and aim than in game which im sure you all knew but its bad already and i hate to see it being abused even more. Sniping medics, SL's? If you can see what kit they are then you are not really sniping them are you.. (exclude snipers marked on the map etc.)youm0nt wrote:What's wrong with that? You may be sniping out important targets like squad leaders, medics, snipers, marksmen, etc... If you're getting mad, then go use the heavy AT yourself... Fight fire with fire.
The new kit limitation timers are godsent. The heavy AT really have to be careful and stand back with that treasure and not go dolphin diving corners with it. If all players would just realise this. Like now on Basrah if you get a heavy AT kit as insurgents, guard it with your life!! Its a pure treasure. Too bad most players dont necessarily realise this and your team is left off without important assets for long times so we will keep having these "heavy AT pointmen" which will make me even madder.

1. Unless you lived though the M4A1 bomb of v0.4 you've no right to bemoan people spraying with it.
2. Whats wrong with H-AT sniping? Its done in RL, why shouldnt it be done in PR? Sure, on a map with armour its not really on, but infantry only maps its fair game. Also, they've got 30 seconds between rockets and only have a pistol to defend themselves with. Find 'em, fix 'em, flank 'em and finish 'em.
3. The MR-444 sights are off. They have always been off. They wernt right in vBF2. They will probubly remain off for some time. For that reason, the M9, L9A1, P226 and QSZ-92 are waaay better pistols.
4. The sniper's pistol is there for a reason. And you've got a much better chance of getting out alive of a CQB situation with a semi auto 9 mil than with a bolt action 7.62 or .338.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!

To tell you the truth, I've never seen someone rush a corner with the heavy AT weapon out... They shouldn't be in an urban environment like that anyway. They should be way farther out that area, away from the fighting... I just use the heavy AT weapon while on British side and you can kinda tell between the equipment a soldier has because of the 2x zoom on the AT weapon and binoculars in your kit*2Recon* wrote:Or having guys running around in urban areas rushing corners with the heavy AT kit. Which is pretty much an exploit...*2Recon* wrote:They've got 5 seconds between rockets. Trust me.

Guess so but what can you do...youm0nt wrote: Which is pretty much an exploit...
Glad to hear that but if you do, follow that guy around. Its funny as hell to look at.youm0nt wrote:To tell you the truth, I've never seen someone rush a corner with the heavy AT weapon out.
Couldnt agree more. I guess its somehow accectable if you fire it at infantry(no matter what the kit is) from a stationary position 100+ meters away. I still find it a bit questionable unless its a destructable bilding or bunker your firing at. I find it totally unaccectable when someoneyoum0nt wrote:They should be way farther out that area, away from the fighting
grabs a heavy AT kit from US main, rushes to blackhawk wreck and firing his AT to the flag ( happened this weekend) there is absolutely no excuse for that. That kind of stuff belongs in CS or half life or *name FPS* but not in a modern combat game pushing for realism.

Yes because we all know sniping lone infantry with the reload glitch is not only realistic, but conventional armies spend thousands of dollars to kill that lone man on a non-MBT operation ALL the time, especially the guy who drives off into the !#@$ing hills solo with a humvee, leaving behind a squad of people at the USMC main base, snipes infantry at gardens with H-AT and reload glitch... ( COUGH [TAO]Royalwolf COUGH! )

I take offense at:
Plus, if i'm cornered by a squad of enemies, and they're about two meters away, and I've got an RPG out, of course i'm going to fire it at them. I'm not going to die for nothing; no, i'm taking these people with me!
But if you mean doing it when you have a choice in living (i.e. you aren't going to die even if you don't do it) then I agree with you.
Hey, many of my best plans have ended with my death. It's how it goes. You fire a grenade launcher so close to yourself, you kill yourself to kill your target.
