It's Ruchnoy:hand held Protivotankoviy: first part is anti(or to be literal, against) second part is tank granatomyot: grenade launcher. Yes, I am Russian.El_Vikingo wrote:Not this arguement again!?
RPG is a literation of "Reaktivniy Protivotankniy Granatomyot".
I think the bold tank there means tank, but I aint russian, so I cant say anything.

Why do people always quote Wikipedia in making the argument that RPG=rocket propelled grenade? They just look at the title without ever reading the article.SpRiNgTiMe wrote:I'm just wondering, but doesn't RPG mean basical Rocket Propelled Grenade?
EDIT: YAY kudos to mehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket_propelled_grenade
Or (реактивный противотанковый гранатомёт, "an anti-tank grenade launcher "
American and British soldiers consistently call these weapons 'RPG's'; only journalists call them 'rocket-propelled grenades.'

"American and British soldiers consistently call these weapons 'RPG's'; only journalists call them 'rocket-propelled grenades." Ok, i kinda made that assumption that it was a rocket-propelled-grenade because, its a rocket, with practicaly a grenade on it (except it doesn't have a fuse), and it fits

This is why we have to limit access to certain parts of the game. While you can arguably say that Medics are more rare than RPGs, Medics have far less of an adverse impact on game play. One or two AT / RPG type weapons is not a problem, but when you have 6 guys in a squad all using RPGs... it just gets ridiculous.lbgspam wrote:Ya, well people are using them for fighting troops now. I saw an entire squad with only RPG!
Hence 4 base classes in v0.6 and the heavier game play impacting weapons are issued via weapon caches or the Quartermaster.

No, they're guied with magnets.Raniak wrote:Wait... wire guided missiles really have a wire ?!
Wireguided missiles on wikipedia
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
