Map Borders

Post by McBest »

On few maps, especially in "Operation Phoenix (Train)" and "Al Fallujah (Village)", the map borders inflict the battle. For the border is close to a flag, many squads try to move along the border in order to flank the enemy. So does the other faction. This leads to a battle along the map border which is unrealistic :-( . Especially if the map border is on a hilltop, it is essential to seize it.
My suggestion is: Either put the border far enough away from the flag so there is enough room to flank 8-) . Or put the border into a valley where you would die if you would be seen while flanking  , so very few would try.
Now, we sometimes have the main army fighting at the map border.........
Also acceptable are borders in rivers or unclimbable moutains, so you have a visual reason.
I find the new maps so cool because they are so huge! You can still flank a flanking squad!!!
This mod is great at all! :p Thanks to the DEVs!

Yeah, I find the Train CP in Op Phoenix really hard to capture if you're US. There's pretty much only 2 ways you can attack it. (from the East, and from the South)
