Approx size?

hi all
im a VERY weary person when things are big
eg: PR .5 was 1.6 gb and it was my first time dling it and it took 18hrs and on the 17th hr is crashed

and on another thread which egg made he said that the beta was 1.5 gb

HELP!

I would assume that 0.6 will be 1.5+ I downloaded the 0.6 beta with via torrent and it took about 8 hours. I would hope that the official 0.6 is released on torrent as well. The torrent method is nice becuase you don't have to download the file all at once. You can download to 62.7% shut it down or pause it. Then start it up whenever from 62.7% and continue on, repeat as needed.

Basically I leave my torrent on over night or while at work to do big downloads

Never had a problem.

but there is a BIG chance that im a 13 yr old kid who doest has his own comp

[change BIG chance w/ 100% certintiy]

my dad controls the flow and stuff on the main comp

oh and i secretly DLed BF2 ASSAULT MOD without him knowing
hehehhehee

but i dout it that he would dl it again when .5 CRASHED 4 times while in download

Well,since it is a torrent it is a bit easier for you,you can just load an hour or two,then pause it and start at the same place again the next day.

But watch out,at least with me it kills the pings on all other comps in the house.

Gaz got an idea there.
Henno what I normally do when I'm too lazy to Dl something overday b/c I got more entertaining stuff to do I just put on something for my ears so I can't hear much and let the download keep running overnight, and then when I get up I'll just let it keep running while I'm off to school or work w/e.

EDIT: Just realized that Henno made this thread.. Since it's a torrent yes it won't be that much of a problem.

Can't imagine it being much bigger because some of the 0.6 stuff was already in the 0.5 download.

Hmmm... I downloaded it via torrent in the first hour it came out in about an hour or two so there weren't many people seeding it so I would assume it would get better as more people download it.

I don't get it? Your father does not want you playing PR? or he wants to DL things when you do? I don't understand what the issue is, secretly DL mods? If it is an issue between you and your family I don't think the Devs can help you there, sorry.

The torrent method is great if you need to stop and start all the time, figure out how to use it (easy) show your Dad and work with him. Oh and have some patience.
