POE2

Post by marcoelnk »

hello

i think its really a pity that a great mod like poe2 has decayed and hardly anyone plays it... great maps, vehicles, weapons etc.
so i wondered if there would be a possibility to use all those objects, teams and stuff for pr as it would be a really great mod with realism, and hundreds of posiibilities....perhaps you can contact the poe team and ask them to cooperate with you...
(btw. i think rhino suggested sth like that with the canadian project cause anther team is creating a mod with candaian forces)

just a thought

Since POE still has an active dev team, which is still creating the mod, and there still will be more releases I don't think this would ever happen. Just because there first release wasn't successful doesn't mean there rest wont be....no need for assimilation as of yet ;)

PoE2 is still very active so I don't know where you get your information. There next release is right around the corner so I wouldn't call the coroner just yet.

PoE2 has around 100~150 players at any given time, PR has 200~250 so i wouldnt cal PoE dead.

x2---a mod dies when it's dev's stop supporting it as well. I just hope they break out of this fully-armed extravaganza mold. It seems every conflict needs to have at least 5 or 6 MBT's, 2 assault fighters, 1 AA vehicle and 4 APC's per team.

Why is this annoying to me now? I guess PR substantially supports a more minimalist approach, as far as the individual's role in the fight goes.

st thought it would be very cool to mix these 2 mods...perhaps i have an older version of poe2 or missing maps but when i play there are max 40 players online (ive got 1.1.5)
you know for me (as im german :) ) it seems quite senceless making , well 4 "english" teams in one mod (British,USMC,Canada, and as i read your planning to create Navy...and 3 teams which would call rebels (insurgents,Mec,civilians)
invovling ukraine and germany would make pr even more interesting...i like poe2´s weapons and stuff but i dont like the arcade style which it is mostly played online( although better than bf2 vanilla)

poe2 isnt dead, its numbers have just dropped from all the hyping around its release.

but yeh i agree, there are so many vehicles that barely anyone troubles to fight with infantry unless they have too, also a lot more plane tkers on some servers then 24/7 wake because they all want to be '1337' in the euro,
