Agreed. I don't think anyone leaves his/her weapon to rot/be used by enemy/be destroyed during a battle to do something else. I also think the stationary LMGs are pretty unrealistic too.2ACR>Gunther wrote:I believe it will add teamwork signif, only if it is a mobile kit. Not commander placeable.
I dont agree with having it incapable of moving at all. Its unrealistic, will be hard to position them in good spots because the weapon will be very close to the ground and the commander cant see hills. And even if the devs dont like the idea of giving this weapon optics, then just the weap with iron sights and a spotter would do just fine. With VOIP, a spotter and gunner can go a long way. Also the spotting system in BF2 will help alot also.
If you devs are working on mortars and have them mobile and stuff not to sure about that. Then this shouldnt be a problem eh?
Solution for the .50 cal/hvy MG Tripods!

Yea, but that is unrealistic. Its not like they will call up a humvee for a heavy machine gun. They cant use the .50 cals on top of the humvees like they use the tripods. The tripods can be used as indirect support, whereas the .50's on humvees serve a different role.youm0nt wrote:Like someone said in a thread about machine guns...

Machinegun tripods are probably not going to happen, so don't get your hopes up.
But w/e. I guess it doesn't matter.
And speaking of hopes. I know they will be in FH2 because they put in everything that was used and was significant. To bad I cant get that same effect in modern combat.
