Change some of the civillions to a TV crew

Post by HumpthyDumpthy »

In All war there are TV crews/reporters there. Why not change some of the stone trowing civies to a camera man or reporters?

It would be fun to see in game.

What do you think?

Agree with Cherni here.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Leaving only charcoal to defend.

Reporters are never, ever (or, very rarely) seen anywhere near combat. There's a reason you never hear or see of the combat operations going on in the Triangle of Death. They're never there.

Bad idea.

not realy , there are lots of embedded reporters following combat units all the time. alot of the youtube videos are filmed by them , some tho by the soldiers them selfs of course.

and there no more pointless that civilians if u put it that way.

Hey, the third worst idea ever is suggested for the fifth time! Congrats!

It wouldn't be cool, it wouldn't be conducive to gameplay. A "rescue" the prisoners type mission sounds pretty cool though. Extraction style where you have to fight into a compound and then evac.

There were 9 embeds at the start of the year, 2 of them from the Army times.
There are indie reporters/bloggers who embed but 99% of what you read about combat in Iraq or see video of is second hand at best and false at worst.
the MSM doesn't give a shit enough about what's actually happening to film outside the green zone.
I would love to see camera crews in the game but I fear I would cost my team too many points as I would have to kill them.

Welcome to the forums, Humpthy. This has been suggested before, so please do a search next time you have an idea to see if others have had it first. :)
