Stationary HK 21 for MEC

the AK47 and AK74 are cheap, they are hardy weapons, they are powerful, but they lack accuracy, hence why the G3 seems a viable option for a newly formed army that wants to be effective.

Note for you :
5.45x39 ammo ( AK-74 ) is fairly accurate at ranges up to 400m .
AK-101 fires NATO round ; accuracy is almost the same as other .223 weapons .
AK-103 fires old 7.62x39 round , improved over AK-47\AKM accuracy ; though still outmatched by 5.56 . On my opinion , best weapon to arm newly formed army ( until 6.8х43(?) will finally pass testing stage and will go in mass production , as well as guns that fire this round ) . Reliable , cheap , uses old cartrige ( as well as AK-47\AKM mags ) , accurate enough at ranges up to 250m , 7.62 .
AK-107\AK-108 . improved anti-recoil sistem , able to use both 5.56 , 5.45 .

I'm not going to say we need to change something , already got flamed when I tryed . Let the G3 stay if DEV's find it better then nowadays AK's .

On a side note, there's no way in hell the PoE team would lend theirs, and why would you? If the PR devs were going to use another team's model (In this case, the MG3) the OPK team would be the most logical place to start. They're a member of BSS and have an MG3 already modeled.

On another note. The placement of stationary MGs needs some serious work too. MGs should be placed at chokepoints and bottlenecks, narrow passages or key defensive positions. In most cases, the moment you post yourself on the MG, you're not likely to live very long. Hopefully there are some changes that will bolster the effectivness of stationary MGs.

6 years later - MEC use MG3 as MG/AR.
But I think, that's a good idea to give HK 21 as stationary weapon for MEC. Or give the HK 21 for someone.

HK21 is probably not going to make a return in any role for MEC.
