Are the brits gonna get a full reskin?
This just came to my mind...the USMC got new skins, the PLA got new skins and the MEC got new skins too. So seeing as the British Army is the pride and joy of this mod it would make perfect sense to see new British skins. Are you keeping it secret or something until the .6 release??? HUH HUH?? I demand answers!!

Their heads also seem to "glow" which makes them an easy target.

Why? because they look cartoony?
I was referring to the old BF2 vanilla skins.. That's why USMC, MEC and PLA got a new skinjob, and NOT that dice had anything to do with the new ones.
And if you find them a bit to cartoony how about 'Insurgent' civilians?
Ok, so they stick out(functionality?) won't get killed by accident.. But why then make the new MEC skin so similar to US? It's a beautiful skin yes. But now you are forced to use minimap more often. (It's really hard to tell them apart.. do we really want more TKs?)
IMO now that the "light issues" are fixed I find the brit skinjob pretty nice.. Can it be improved? ...Yes, but we got lots more important stuff needing a facelift.. some weapon textures really need it more IMO..

no knee pads so theres no tightness around the knees, accurate desert dpm... were you devs worried whether the rolled up sleeves wouldn't go right with the woodland camo? loads of soldiers roll their sleeves up in the jungle!-

Can I just point out that there are currently two serving members of the British Army on the PR Dev team? We are aware that the British Army skins could be improved, but please give it a rest with the omg they should have these this and that.
Sleeves: meant to be down in the desert (although we wanna work on our squaddie tans, so they are usually up
If you have been to any Jungle training, you will know that your sleeves stay down all the time, and you try to cover most of your exposed skin to stop little sucky things getting on your skin
Kneepads: these are now issued kit when deploying.
Osprey: Current deployed troops in Afghanistan and Iraq have them. The full issue has not yet been completed.
NVG Mount: Fits on helmet. Could do with an introduction on the model possibly, but more likely will just be a skin overhaul so this may not make it.
Assault vests: These are more commonly worn now in both active theatres than the usual belt webbing
Mixed uniform: Nothing wrong with it. In 2003, we used mixed dress DPM because our DPM jackets were warmer than the then issued desert jackets. It got seriously cold at night in the desert, especially in Kuwait waiting for things to kick off. The issue of kit as now caught up with the troops, and desert DPM smocks are now issued upon deployment to these areas.
This will not be done for 0.6, I will tell you that now. However, depending on the workload for future releases, we may or may not be able to work on an update. That's down to egg to decide when looking at the workload of the current Devs who could do the job.
I'll leave this topic open for now, but I know there's a few on this subject, and are quite recent. Any more and they will be locked. Please use the search facility and make use in future of the already created topics on these forums.

Hey i was not asking anyone to change it i was just pointing out the fact that every other faction got a skin change so i thought maybe the brits would get one too. That and in a game i was playing with one of the DEVs he said there is a "surprise" in store when the full version of .6 releases. You can lock this now b/c its seems that surprise has nothing to do with the British skins.

Yet again the MOD fail to deliver on time, no wonder alot of the soldiers are buying their own kit.'[R-DEV wrote:Gaz']

The skin overhaul sounds great, looking forward to it.
