What happened to the Lynx?
Looking at the old WIP model of the AH7 Lynx helicopter for the brits (http://realitymod.com/forum/t4814-uk-model-wip-ah7-lynx-helicopter.html) I was wondering what happened to it...
I mean after that WIP there have been no more progress reports, it hasn't been included in a single update. In fact there has never been any mention of it at all other than on that thread.
So the simple question is: is this still being made and will it be in game at some time, and if so are we talking .7 or .8 or 1.0?
Feel free to lock after a DEV has winked at me and I am forced to plot their demise, although I would like to discuss how awesome the Lynx is further.

So it IS being put into PR at some point?
Also would it be for light attack, light transport or two variants like the littlebird?

The EH-101 MErlin is a very nice helicopter, big and beautifull but to me, it just does not have enough stench of britishness and real class. The Lynx has both those and for me, it is the Supermarine Spitfire of the rotarycraft world. It is a representation of everything that makes a great flying machine, brilliant speed and stunning agility.
An aircraft made in Britain, flown by the British and DEV willing, used by the British in Project Reality.
For any persons who are still not thinking right - just dont get it, please watch the below:

I really want to break your legs right now.
But yeah, the Lynx does seem to have a certain charm to it. I've only ever seen a Lynx fly past with TOWs on (I've seen them fly past many times, but un-armed). With TOWs, it definitely looks like a predator.
BTW, that middle pic is of the Black Cats, using the Super Lynx 300. It's nowhere near as terrifying as the Lynx AH7.

You like eddie:

Please remeber eddie: the Lynx was made by Westland, an all British company. The Merlin was made by AgustaWestland, half British, half Italien company. This is in no way a problem but in consideration with the British aviation industry 50 years ago (booming with orginality - TSR2, Supersonic Harrier = bet you aint heard of last one = orginal Harrier planned but Gov forced subsonic one instead) and now, it is effectively DEAD and the Governments or Armed forces attempt at pretending equipement is all British, but when it is actualy devlopted abroad and then put together in Britain. All quite sad and abit shabby if i might say so for a country as large and developed as Britain. Therefore this is why i said it did not have enough stench of Britishness.eddie wrote:I really want to break your legs right now.

And players need to rid them selves of this Huey Nonense!
The damn aircraft is almost 100mph slower when both aircraft operate at their max speeds, namely 125mph when compared with the super lynx.
The aircraft is also much more agile, and generaly cooler. THe huey just does not have the cool and quality factor, mabey 20 years ago in Nam, but in wars fo the 21st century, take a break. UH-1 Iroquois :35_rip:
And for those interested, this is the next developement fo the liynx:

p.s Little more wiki = UH-1N Twin Huey, i must admit, she does have a certain air of quality, but the Lynx, being flown by the British army, must come first, it is PRs main goal.......

if they add Lynx, they should really add UH Y1 Huey USMC Variant
Theres upgrade varients of the Huey, and the newest one is so sweet ***.. You should take a look for your self
USMC
Besides, the USMC does have a Littlebird, which has lack of protection for soldiers, and the Blackhawk is so hard to manuver unlike the Merlin.... A Huey would add a great real life and game experience
