do believe this is hardcoded. it was never a problem (or not as much of a problem) back in vBF2, because the tank was done by one person that could know where the tank was going and accomidate the terrain. Now your team of 2 has to be reaallllly in sync with each other to make sure that isnt a problem.
Most tank teams you see know wont shoot on the move, but stop, quick aim, shoot and move. Helps remove the smoke also, but with .6 smoke wont be a problem..
**brag note** went 45 and 0 in a abrams on Ejod for 1313 points. woot woot.

The thing is, BF2 does feature a tiny bit of stabilization. If you drive an APC over rough terrain, you'll notice that your camera does not remain in a fixed position relatively the the APC, reacting to every little bump. I believe the same applies to tank and their turrets.
Besides that, iirc, you can get on the hatch MG in a tank, and you will always face the same direction as the tank moves. So, theoretically, the two mechanisms are already in place - it's just a question of using them.

that would make things a lot easier, i remeber trying to shoot a t62 gun with my old gfx card while maistros or someone was driving and like he wouldnt stop to let me shoot and i missed becasue of the framerate and bumpiness of the road then we drove straight into an apc.. i don't know why i was called the 'noob' haha
'you gotta learn 2 shoot and MOVE noobbb'
i can't when your pressing turbo more times the knight rider.

You have to give a command for your driver to drive straight and fast on level ground to line up a shot. Never stop or you die!

Voip is the best way to go, here is a video of me and my friend tanking, it is on Portuguese, but you will see how much you need to talk while being inside a tank

Me talking while gunning for a tank usually consists of something along the lines of:
"Ok, enemy tank 2 o'clock! Stop and let me fire! Stop! STOP THE DAMN TANK! Ok... Reloading, now move! GET MOVING! MOVE THE DAMN TANK! Whoa, ****, we're hit! GET US MOVING ALREADY! DAMMIT!"
Which is why I prefer driving, and letting someone else gun.

Tank battles boil down to how well you can gun on the run... M1A2s have the most advanced gun stabilizing system in the world, on the move they can knock out targets up to a couple of miles away, maybe a mile and a half... Ive also heard from my Army recruiters that they are able to hit targets while in midair from a jump as well.... Very amazing piece of machinery

Yeah they do, but you need to land like 25-30 rounds of it on the tank if you want to kill it, which means unless that tank's got no ammo for its primary armament, you're toast.'[uBp wrote:Irish']a little off topic, but do the APC's Sabot Rounds actually do any dmg to a tank?
i've never seen an APC down a tank with the rounds before.. usually the tank just turns fires heat/sabot and the apc is gone.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
