They arent for the Iraqi forces, they are American vehicles,the link I provided explaining them would have told you that

Currently the Marines are the first ones to have acquired the vehicles, with the Army being second in line to acquire them as well...

Of course they are, the US seem to be trying to get back all the money they invested in the SADF in the 80s. First the Milkors, now this. Soon enough we'll see US troops carrying R8s and Vecktor SS-77/Mini-SS MGs!

Since the conflict in the game is based several years into the future; these vehicles may be available in sufficient numbers by that time. It would be an interesting addition to the game when there is more time for this sort of stuff.

I believe Canada also ordered a very small amount of these, don't remember what exact role they'll be filling or if they'll even be in theatre.

As to their use in game, though, the Cougars in-game function would just be as a wheeled APC, like the UK Saxon. I'm not sure if its mine/other explosive resistant properties could be coded with this fossilized turd of an engine, so I'm not sure how unique in terms of performance we could actually make it. And since we don't (and can't) have large minefields and the IEDs are command activated rather than activated autonomously, like a mine, the Buffalo clearance vehicle wouldn't really serve a gameplay purpose at all.

I don't think we'll be seeing the Cougars in game anytime soon, if at all, but they haven't been suggested before, so I must give you credit for that. Welcome aboard, WD.

Yes that is true about the marines suffering 300 IED attacks in them an not losing a single man. I heard that on Fox News the other day when they were talking about budget cut backs and the dems cutting funding for the Cougars and Buffalo. The Republicans were raisin hell about it because of the results they had seen with the Cougar and Buffalo and the Army putting orders for them...
