what do you think... using the wrench instead of the knife as close-combat-weapon

Its a decent idea, I mean in you need to kill someone close up in real war you use whatever you have to to defend yourself. Like the medic with the shock paddles. But in place of the knife no that would not be realistic. Well, if they're going to include being dazed due to being clocked in the head with a wrench, they might as well include being jolted due to being zapped with the defibrilator....(also a goofy idea).
In truth, an engineer doing work should have a perimeter set around him by his squad.....or is this too realistic for ya?
