Basrah Night
Seeing as DrRank has been perfecting the night map in PR, I would absolutely LOVE to see a night version of basrah. Would have some amazing gameplay scenarios
Also Kashan Day 2 just at night would be amazing aswell.

Problem with al basrah is balance.
You want the insurgents to walk around in the dark ?
As far as I know you can't use flashlights in PR so they would be blind.
But Kashan.....now there is a map for night ops.

And as the windshield melts

Leaving only charcoal to defend.

I believe Al Basrah has always been kinda meant for a asymmetrical map. But I may be wrong.ArmedDrunk&Angry wrote:Problem with al basrah is balance.

not all of them. while ideally id love to say "well give one class NVG's and no one else" but then thats all they would play. I say toss the insurgents a bone and just give them NVGs out of balances sake, and keep the civies without NVG's

If you really had to give them NVG's scatter around maybe 7-10 of them on the map if its possible. I think it would be awesome if the INS didnt get them, I would actually want to play INS instead of british if they DONT get them. Trying to shoot the british by tracing there tracer fire = awesomecausticbeat wrote:not all of them. while ideally id love to say "well give one class NVG's and no one else" but then thats all they would play. Oh the memories on Sharqi Night... And yes lights are possible in city atmospheres. I think a night armor battle would be pretty awesome.(Kashan)
I wouldn't want to see Basrah at night though, INS wouldn't have NVG's, making it kind of one sided, because in the event of a major offensive at night by british forces the INS forces would stockpile there weapons blend back into the city and then come daylight negate the British NVG advantage and conduct ambush and sparatic (hit/run) type missions.
That's why most modern military's love the night, the USAF has done everything possible to own the nights sky, the day lit sky is easier to control by fighters, and AAA, where as proven in the early days of WW2 attacks on Germany and occupied France were all done at night, and the second it went daylight casualties went up untill the Luftwaffe was purged of its pilots.

Or NVG for vehicles atleast, if FLIR IR etc isn't possibledanthemanbuddy wrote:I say Night Kashan, but make it like old Sharqi Night, where you can still see without the NVG, give tanks and everything a chance to see each other, or time to put that thermal imaging that the DEV had tested before.

well you could use some form of asymmetrical balance to offset the NVG or just pretend that some group ( CAIR ? ) bought a boatload and shipped them to the insurgents and that is the basis for the map.
Instead of it being ammo in the caches, it's thousands of NVGs and the Brits need to find them and destroy them before they are distributed to insurgents all over the country.
