Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran:
"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."

Blackeagle-
Think of the Commander's zoom as the UAV. You zoom in on an area, look at it, then if you see enemy or other intel relay it to you squad leaders via VOIP or text using the grid coordinates on the zoomed out commanders map. This is a much more realistic portrayal of how the UAV would work,

I don't know much about real UAV's. I would imagine they provide moderate to low level imaging. I would guess they are capable of using different imaging tech. I don't think they would show people with there diretion of orientation and distinguish between friendles and enemy. I believe that if a commander had access to this they would have to sit down and analiyse the data, they would probably have an idea of enemy groups and movement but I find it hard to believe they would have the split second, exact known location of a whole area like they do in game.
If UAV's are to be re-introduced Im sure it will be done realisticly or not at all.

They can fly out of sight and read the number plate on a car as far as I know. So they say anyway.Long Bow wrote:I don't know much about real UAV's. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE WAY PR DOES THINGS THEN GO BACK TO YOUR BLOODY NOOB FILED VBF2!!! [breathe][/breathe]
Sorry just had to get that off my Chest, IRL UAVs can Spot Liescence Plate Numbers from Far away Yes but in vBF2 the UAV Will See you even if you are in a Nuclear Bunker, And to the Devs that is just not acceptable, Sure if the vBf2 was player Controlled and used to Call Out Targets Over VOIP Sure that is Awsome Teamwork etc but vBf2 is like a All Seeing Eye.
