Wow . Seemes like it is turning into project Vanilla ... just make a body of dead bunnyhoper with G36E from nilla and make everyone fight for it ...

p/s no idea whats the reason to waste time for such kind of stuff

I think its cool. No harm done imo. Its a beta test for gods sake. I very much doubt that it will be in final release. And if they are...who cares? the amount of effort to get them is a bit, and hey! It would very much encourage teams to cap flags to get these things. Don't flip a trip over some *fun* toys. Its not like a super unlock B52 Nuke bomber. Its just a Sniper rifle with an interesting side arm. :wink:

First, it's in the .605 open beta, not an official release. They added it for some good clean DEV on DEV / DEV on Pubby hurt. If it keeps the Dev's morale up while they're coding away, it is a good thing. If it makes it into an official release, I'll be right there with you whining.

Meh.. I know where to find 2 of them, not too difficult. The thing I'm trying to figure out now is the range there zero'd at, and how high I have to aim to compensate for bullet drop to hit long range targets.
If anyone has figured this out yet, let me know :o

The picture I posted was completely made up, I'm sorry...
Here is an actual picture of the pickup kit, the location is obvious so I edited out the Minimap just to weed out the total retards.

Please keep the M82A1 in the final release. It's more plausible than that bullpup bolt-action .50 that I've never seen the military use.

hehe some of y'all need to lighten up. it's there for a lark .. not like they are all over the place .. or the new sniper kit.... some mods put UFOs in as Easter Eggs, I stuck in a somewhat unrealistic but fun sniper kit as an easter egg. They will likely stay in the final release although in beta something is wrong because there should only ever be a max of 2 in play (tho it is possible to get more than that, those circumstances would be very rare).

Though you will obviously have to hide it in some other place, make it harder to find and all...

Oh and btw a suggestion. If it gets to the point that everyone knows where the kit is, why don't you have it so when it spawns, it lands in a random area everytime. I'd make sure that spawns in the same general area, just so we don't have to go to the far reaches of the map to find it, but to just make it more of a challenge.

I was thinking that too, or at least, move them for the final release ;)
