battlerecorder noob plz help

Post by nillazsuck »

Alright so I'm a total nublet when it comes to the battlerecorder. I have no idea how to set it up or use it. If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. I've searched for it on the forums and also googled it. But came up with nothing.

BF2 also has a "guide". Its called Readme...read that for details

Ok, so for a server, you need to enable the Battlerecorder on the dedicated server launcher. All similar options are there.

To record a small part in-game, bring console up, then type: demo.recorddemo [insert name here]. To end recording, type: demo.stoprecording

does the battlerecorder work by capturing a video of what you see? or just information of what is happening?

It is serverside, and captures all objects on the server. So, you can view any part of the map at any time. You can't record stuff yourself from the client.
