V-22 osprey. Is this it or just a hoax?

Hope we get this in 0.6, if only it came with M16A4s and fast roping like that guy said.

Speaking of closing the ramp on the Merlin how do you do that? The up/down arrows keys don't seem to do it.

Someone said something about the harrier being no surprise. This is a surprise to me! Any pics? one more thing why would the DEVs add a harrier when the F35 IRL is like 20 times better? They should just tweak the settings with the F35 to make it a bit better. Im not complaining but it would have saved the DEVs some time.

I suppose that the Harrier fits the British team quite well, as opposed to the F-35...

Oh yes of course. DUH!! my bad. Makes perfect sense all though the British are already slated to buy F35s but its all good the more planes the better!!

Yeah, trouble is the F-35 won't start active service until around 2014 with the Royal Navy, so the Harrier's a great addition to the mod.

Mod set in 2010, F35's arrive as the person above me stated, Besides the Harrier i Feal is More Suited as the F-35 1) Dosnt seem perminent and 2) Reminds be of Nilla Bf2

The Wiki Player Guide has it in it. They've already said it's on the way, but no where in there is the Osprey.

And how the hell does the V22 seem Vanilla? Is it because of it's current "easy use testing state" where it has no kit requirements, no warm up, and external camera views, or what?

Hehe, I did that bit of the Wiki. The Osprey is probably being considered and they're [Devs] deciding whether it's worth tweaking it to put in game.

Because IRL the Harrier is like 20 times more in service than the F35. To the best of my knowlege, there are only about 15 F-35's in existance, all preproduction (ie, hand made) test birds. The current AV-8B Night attack harrier has been in service since 1985 (22 years) and will remain in service for quite a long time (The A-4 Skyhawk it replaced served for 42 years in the Corps). If the F-35 follows the typical goverment procurement schedule we'll see it in service about the same time that PRM 1.0 is released.

Wait, did I just type that out loud?

Anyway, the Osprey was supposed to be in service when I got out of the Corps back in the early 90's (seriously 19 years from maiden flight to in service), see where I'm going? If this is reality +10 USMC should be using AV-8B (maybe D's) for CAS, F-18c/e/f/g for all other roles.

The V-22 was not made by the PR Devs, I think it's from USI. So it's no PRified and it has some problems, like a wacky collision mesh. So, don't expect it any time soon. (maybe I'm wrong, who knows, a DEV can come and correct me if I'm wrong)
