Spec ops maps

Developers, it is in your best interest to limit the use of the special forces class on the field of battle, but in return you should make some maps where an entire team is made up of a group of special operations operators, such as the Green Berets or the SAS. They would fight against a conventional force probably about 1.5x to 2x larger, but in return, the spec ops would have better gear such as night vision and more ammo.

i believe there are plans to make factions on some maps entirely of SF troops, in which there would be the same basic classes probably (medic, sharpshooters, riflemen etc) and as for giving them better stuff im all for it. not sure if a sort of 'uneven teams' deal would work but i think giving the conventional (and lesser equiped team) more tickets is an option.

Yes but who wants to play as the unconventional force with crappy weapons?
I think it wont work on public servers ... everyone would switch to the SpecOps team ...

well they would have the odds with them, and if they worked together well they could easily defeat the unconventional force IMO. theyd still probably get a few out of the box weapons like IEDs and an ample supply of RPGs, various types of mines and of course theyd probably be on defense, which always makes things easier.

I think this is a bad idea. Im not sure if i like where this mod is heading with no planes. Then spec ops map. If this was a spec ops mod then i would like it buts its not so i say no spec ops map.

well, i think that there are more viable options for the plane issue than to remove them totally, so id bet youre safe on that one.

also it wouldnt be EVERY map with spec ops vs conventional forces, these maps would probably be in the minority.

So there will still (i hope) be the maps with fixed wing aircraft and conventional forces.


Its not so much a way the MOD is heading as it is a direction it is branching off towards.( so long as no drastic steps (removal of jets, spec ops only maps) are taken).
