The fact that we are playing USMC and they don't use them is reason enough to turf them. The spec ops in game have been a bone of contention for some time. If they are to be included with the M4a1 I think it will have to be a limited kit. Currently we have too many SF mixed into the fight.
For CQC the M4 is great, that fact that it's available means it will be used, long range I find it performs poorly. I know that if I keep getting my a$$ handed to me in CQC I grab an M4 or a boom stick (aka shotgun
). This isn't realistic but the fact that it is readily avalible for everyone means its fair game, for now. I will miss it when it's gone becuase it was a usefull tool in certain situations but I will be glad to see it go so people who only ever play SF (and not properly) will have grab a standard kit for a change.

If u was going to have the Spec Ops a limited kit for the Us you would have to have it for all, in every case as it is limited please oh please make the SLAM's and what not realistic, if u put just ONE shaped charge on a piece of armor it would do serious damage to the vehicle if not incapacitate permantly. at the moment you cause more damage firing your rifle at it

Let me clarify, IF SF are to be included and they remain limited or a pickup kit then for sure they should be an uber kit. SF are for lack of a better word "special" no not in the same way your Mom tells you your "special"
But if SF are in game they need the right equipment to carry out SF rolls and not be dumbed down to make them ineffective in a fire fight (let me explain). The limiting of the kit will keep them from being over used and the fact that they are hard to obtain will make people value their life more. IRL they are lethal when need be but rely on stealth etc. Stealth in BF2 is relative so they may have to engage the enemy a little more then IRL hence giving them enough ammo to fight. Ofcourse they still need the right equipment to sabatoge, eliminate enemy assests and provide intel

How about just a different special forces type class? One that would make a bit more sense.

If you guys do decide to adjust or limit the special forces kit, please keep a standard kit with the M4A1. I love using that weapon at close ranges.

Go watch Heart Break Ridge and come back when you've got something to say about how awesome it is.Lampshade111 wrote:What the hell?
Note to self: Watch Heart Break Ridge again.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.
Many thanks to [R-DEV]Adriaan for the sig!
