are all L-at rockets getting a sound boost in .6 (havent played it)?
the firing is quieter than an m16

It should kick up dust too, firing one of those is a doozy :D

I know that the fly by sound is changed in 0.6. Firing them sounds the same in 0.5. Haven't played 0.6 much, so I'm not sure...
