Most aspects of the game feature a large learning curve so good luck with it.

The best tip I ever heard: play the game as if it was actually you on a real battlefield. Do what you'd do in real life. It might just keep you alive.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

It does.

Desertion ftw :p

Kidding, altough I never deserted from the squad, others got killed, so I was left alone :p

Did that too once. Had to make my way around Al Kufrah Oilfields with enemy tanks, APCs, cars, snipers and infantry all over the area. It was scary as hell, crawling around in ditches to avoid getting seen by those tank gunners and vehicles moving up to the front.

I played for a little bit and I enjoy the game alot, but I still havent gotten the kits down yet. They also fixed the sniper shots, I shot a guy in the chest with a dragonuv that I stole from some guy(who kept coming to get his gun back) And it killed him in one hit, I love that, on hit kill! I love this mod.

Glad to hear your enjoying it so far. You will find all the weapons are more deadly in PR. Just wait untill you try 0.6, the view distance in 0.5 is over half the distance now available in 0.6 :D

One suggestion I will have for you is to search the forums if you have any questions. I have learned allot simply by searching here on a topic but don't be affraid to post questions still. Most important though if you have a suggestion for the next release of PR search the suggestions forum and read the already suggested ideas sticky (courtesy of El_Vickingo <--- official PR forum suggestion moderator  ) Doing this will save you allot of headaches here

Have fun see you in the field

Well I just downloaded it at the same time...But I've been having some trouble identifying the other team. It's kind of embarrassing to TK your teammate when there aren't any enemies around. I swear the the difference between the MEC and the US on some heavily foraged maps is hard to see.

Besides that, the game is totally awesome.

Yea, it takes a bit of getting used to - identifying other players.

It's a mix of spotting a player, looking at your minimap, and judging whether its enemy or not.

Keep practicing :p

Yeah... just look at your minimap, wait for the nametag to render, then fire.
Just don't fire whevever you hear someone, they can't absorb 5+ bullets before dropping like in vBF2

you can also try some of the single player things in its sub forum to help you master flying helicopters, using limited kits etc. without being called a noob online

Thats the funny thing, in battlefield 2 I could hit an enemy with out even needing to look at my mini map to judge if they are friendly or not, the outfits say it all, dark is mec, light is america/Uk

As for kits and stuff like that, I cant seem to figure out how to get the sniper kit, many a times have I wished that I could Be on a hill top, next to a rally point, team mates all around me, squad and every one else, that I could help them out and kill a few people off, if not all I'm stuck with is an M4 with a laser scope with no zoom... I need to know how to get all these kits in order to get my full playing style down.

I managed to play a full round and gain 300+ points and that was the easy part, it was having to get in the transport choppers and get back to the island, or place I need to be to get a base or so.
