Realisitic animations.
Ability for full 3rd person view (not some modded version
)
something like simulation of ArmA and americas army and the supposed "fun" of bf2
EDIT: or atleast animations for everything, at that...like if you're giving first aid...you are actually patching them up, and stuff...

when your in the third seat on a tank (gunner ow watever that little sit is) why cant u change from using the gun to all your kits weapons. surely in real life you coud use your granades or binoculars. then just swap bak to the gun with say the pickup button "g". that shouldnt be any harder to do then new position in vehicles.

Agreed. You also have Helmand Province, and there was another one before, Street, but it got taken out. Remember that the Insurgent team is relatively new, so there hasn't been made so many maps with them yet.
More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

I want to acknowledge the maturity and intelligence in this thread and for the most part on the forum. Aside from the blight of requests from the younger players for their favourite alphabet soup spec ops team to be represented, this thread makes for entertaining and level-headed reading. Compare a similar thread in the official Armed Assault forums where every request is for a new gun in the next patch or for some obscure vehicle, here people actually throw around ideas for maps and gameplay. I'm impressed.

And so am I. This beats the other Suggestion forum threads. That's why I live here (and, of course, in the Spam Thread).
Now, to business: Well, Slate, of course it could be done. A bit like Gulf of Oman. But the thing is, it wouldn't be very realistic. Or balanced. In real life, that sort of stuff is rarely done. Not pure beach landings, D-day style. These days, you'd have bombers dropping smart bombs on enemy positions for days on end to ensure that there would be no opposition remaining. Then, you'd have Tomahawks doing the same thing, and when the assault happens, there will be a sky full of fighters and helicopters to further maximize the chances of success. Not so much risk or resistance for the infantry/APCs after all that.
And if we were to recreate the circumstances, that is, no smart bombs, nothing like that, the amphibious assault would be doomed. AT guys, machine guns and rifles would decimate the attackers before they even reached shore. Then, the carnage would continue until the attackers realized that they were chanceless and decided to have a cup of tea instead, while letting the flyboys do their job from up high. So it's not very well balanced either.
Although I like the thought of charging up the beach, running from cover to cover, blatting away with my M203-equipped M16, covering my guys as bullets strike the beach all around us, screaming at the top of my lungs, moving, covering, firing and going deaf from the gunfire all around me.

My opinion on the up coming implementation of Flashbangs:
They should be restricted to maps where conventional forces fight Insurgents. Flashbangs are only used IRL where the use of Fragmentation or Concussion grenades could have unwanted side effects, such as seriously damaging poorly made buildings, and so possibly endagering friendly troops or harming civilians. In any other situation it is perferable to use fragmentation grenades or concussion grenades.
Due to the fact that you cant really blow up buldings in PR with frags, there is no reason for Flashbangs to be present on maps where conventional forces battle each other. In my opinion they will would be unrealistic and would also, probubly, cause problems and degrade the quality of gameplay.

The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Hi everybody,
Firstable, this mod is realy fabulous.
I think it could be interesting to add a "training map" in solo mod (sorry if there is already one but every time I try to create a server in solo mod, BF2 close).
In this training map you could place every vehicle avaible for each team (airplane, helico, ...). Just to allow people to practice off-line before piloting on-line. How much BF2 vet try to fly and kill all the squad because piloting under PR is realy realy hard.
Sorry for all mistakes (I am french
