I havn't got a clue how to use torrent so am direct downloading. Was going fine at 200+ kb/s but has now plumeted to 15kb/s. Very confused about why.

No desktop icon? Start BF2, PR0.5 or whatever click on the community tab and choose PR607. The game will restart, and there you go.
