Aircraft suggestions....
Before the flaming begins I want you all to know that I DID search the forums for both theses suggestions and even looked at the "Already suggested seggestions" before posting.
First of all, my most sincere "Thank you" to the developers for providing me with the gaming experience that I have been searching for since I started gaming some twenty five years ago!
Ok here are the suggestions...
#1 Are speed brakes possible on the aircraft? I know that when I pull my throttle all the way back the plane slows and even goes backwards. However it slows down too slow (if that makes sense).
The A-10 and F-16 both are equipped with speed brakes IRL. They use these to slow down when landing and also to obtain optimum speeds for ACM (Ariel Combat Maneuvers). On some of my other flight sims the deceleration speed is pretty drastic. No new animation is required just the results of engaging speed brakes.
#2 What is your thought on adding 4 to 6 WP marking rockets to Little Bird and the MEC/Chinese counterpart?
These rockets have no splash damage, but are used to mark targets for Close Air Support. Also to let squads who are moving across the desert know where and enemy tank location might be. Basically, it would make the small helo's into sort of a reconnaissance asset.
With the view distance being increased it would help squads determine their best course of action.
Just some thoughts I had!
Keep up the awesome work guys!!!!

Some planes already have speed brakes on their graphics model (they open when the plane goes below a certain speed along with the landing gear). I'm guessing you're refering to a button press that will slow your plane down much faster than S.
WP rockets would be nicer for ground forces because most of the time it's the aircraft that have trouble finding targets rather than the troops! Maybe you could stick them on the recon attack choppers for marking targets they cant hit?

Well let's ay that your in a Little Bird scouting the area and the rest of your squad is moving to a flag. They can't see the tank that's just over the hill waiting to ambush. So you put a couple of WP rockets in the vacinity and tell the squad leader "There is a tank just over the hill. I marked it with smoke".
This would be especially helpful if they ever get rid of the mini map.
More importantly to mark targets for close air support. This would give the pilot a reference point.

the airbrake idea sounds intresting although I honestly believe it might cause more problems than it solves.
think about throttling down, especially all fellas who use keyboard, and your jet almost instantly loses all speed.. what happens. jep, you stall. itd be a hell to try to vaporize a slow BH when you constantly have to tip W and S + afterburner to keep it more or less in air.
IMO it would have to be a seperate key.
LB for target designation? sounds neat, darktalon might have a easy practical solution to it. but what would it be good for? the warthhog and frogfoot already have laser designation.. ?

I haven't had all that much time in the A-10 (it's usually being used or destroyed). The target designator is for Vehicles not infantry or buildings. If the Little bird was flying around and saw a particular problem in a building or something like that, he could mark the target to give the attacking plane something to oriemt his attack run on.
The speedbrakes should not make you lose all airspeed instantly, just decelerate the aircraft faster than just reducing the throttle. You may only have it on for a second or two on approach for a landing, or you may have it on for several seconds as you are in a attack dive to give you a little more time to line up the reticle on the target.

Easy...Easy...don't get your flight suit in a knot!
Yes I agree it's pretty easy to land the planes provided you use half the map or more to slow enough so you don't run off the back of the runway.
All I'm saying is that it seems to take a long time to go from full power to an acceptable landing speed (around 500knts) thus making you easy prey for other aircraft or AA. If you had speed brakes you could wait till you were a little closer to the main before you slow down for final.

Just to ad top the LB as a scouting vehicle, it should be a 2 seater, the pilot should just be as he is now but the co-pilot should have maybe x2 or x3 zoom he would then tell the pilot where the problem is.
But to be honest i think if we should have a recon bird it should be this
OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Reconnaissance / Attack Helicopter

It should work sort of like the new tank view, the co-pilot will have a camera on top of the chopper with a 360 degree look with x2 or x3 zoom, you could even set the camera up a few meters above the the chopper so you can hover below a hill but the co-pilot will still be able to look above.
The co-pilot will be the one designating the targets but the pilot will still have to fire the "markers".

Well that depends where the DEV's wanna head with the mod but i say get ride of the minimap and let the players decide where the important enemy location is , if it was heading that way i would say no weapons on it but make "room" for more charges but if we keep the mininmap hmm i really see no point in getting such a vehicle in the game to be honest.EagleSquadron wrote:No sexy weapons?
